Surgeon General's Warning:
"May Cause Horripilation"

Oompa Loompa Doompa Dee Doo

So there I was, sitting in front of my computer one lonely night, browsing around on the internet, when on a whim I decided to pay the DRF site a visit just to see if everything was still where I left it. Suddenly a brutal revelation hit me like a 16-ton weight! The DRF site was UGLY!!! I mentioned this painful observation to Drew and demanded an explanation for why no one had ever mentioned it to me, to which he responded by saying, "We thought you knew!"…

Well, needless to say, something had to be done. I rounded up my Oompa-Loompas and we got right to work building a wonderful new web site—one that we could proudly hold up in favorable comparison with other Trek fleets' home pages—and I think we succeeded. So if you haven't been back lately, visit the DRF Web Site v4 today!

Your Two-Cents' Worth

Now that the new DRF site is back up and running, it's time to update your profile in the Player Gallery! If you already have a page in the gallery, it probably needs updating by now. If you're a new member, or just never got around to sending one in, now's your chance!

Just write up a short little biography of yourself and send it to me. You can write anything you want! Expound on your favorite political/religious/social issues, advertise your own web pages, tell tall tales of your exploits while working for the CIA. You can even send in pictures! Everyone should be able to have his voice heard, so throw in your 2-cents' worth and get that 15 seconds of fame!

The Players Gallery can be found HERE.

Ships Ahoy!

USS Hornet

The Hornet will be launched soon, after numerous delays involving real life. The closing episodes for Season 2 are all written and will be sent out through the USS_Hornet_RPG Yahoo Group, to which all known members of the crew are now subscribed.

USS Leviathan

Not really much I can say about the Leviathan at the moment. I am attempting to bring to an end our season involving the mirror vessel, but commitments to the Taurus and the Eagle have left me with little free time. Now that the Eagle's first mission is over, I'm going to concentrate on first the Leviathan and then the Taurus.

As for it's future, that's in your hands. Last month I posted to everyone on the Leviathan asking just how many of you were willing to continue. So far I've had two replies from Robin & Blake. Anyone still interested in the Leviathan, please let me know ASAP, even if it's only to say yes or no.

My current plans are to merge the Leviathan and the Taurus into one ship, probably a Leviathan-B. The storyline would continue the Taurus season, taking the crew onto the new ship. Work on the new site is well underway and I hope that once the current season is over, I can devote more time to finishing off the site.

If this does not go ahead, then the Leviathan name will return to Mike Strope, who has shown an interest in returning with a new ship.

The current Leviathan site is at http://www.angelfire.com/trek/newleviathan if anyone wants to take a look.

USS Taurus

The Taurus is starting to move along, but it's been a difficult transition. We are currently running the ship without a commanding officer, but hopefully they will be arriving soon. We are currently following up on the only lead we have, but we should soon be making our first contact with the rogue Jem'Hadar, as well as discovering the reasons for the kidnapping of the two Federation scientists.

Most of you will be aware that I have 'inherited' the Taurus, but what you may not have known is that I already had the USS Leviathan to administrate. Whilst the Leviathan was coming to an end, I have always had a desire to continue if I can and so I have the idea to merge the Leviathan and the Taurus into one ship. This new ship would probably be the USS Leviathan-B, because I would like to keep the idea of having a ship equipped with an experimental quantum slipstream drive.

The way it would work would be to take the Taurus crew and place them on the new ship. Most of the Leviathan crew have moved on and so far we only have two players willing to continue. (Although I think there are at least three more players, one of whom is also onboard the Taurus.) The storyline would be season eight of the Leviathan, but would infact be a continuation of the Taurus storyline into a second season.

I can't administrate two ships, but would like to keep as many players as possible from both ships. If anyone wants to make suggestions or comments, I'll always listen to them.

The current Taurus site is at http://www.angelfire.com/trek/drf_taurus if anyone wants to take a look.

USS Eagle

After several false starts, the Eagle web site has finally found a suitable home on the internet. Our (hopefully) permanent new address is http://eagle956.startrekrpg.org

The Eagle successfully finished her first mission, saving a race of cyber-people from a computerized enemy. Meanwhile, the Eagle's website has passed its 3000th visitor since March! Wow! We'll be doing free-form posting for a while before embarking on our next official assignment, which will either be a trip to the Mutara Nebula, or a rescue mission to the planet Tanzaria, home of half of the population of SB901! :-)

B5 Crusade: Resurrection

The GM of our Babylon 5 RPG seems to have vanished, and there's been no activity whatsoever on the web site - so I'm assuming Crusade: Resurrection has been cancelled. The links on the DRF site have been removed.
