The USS Avenger is fitted throughout with bio-neural circuitry, with optronic backups.

The vessel has an advanced computer core with dual backups, plus a secondary core designed to takeover the primary systems of the vessel such as navigation should the primary core fail. This would allow the vessel to continue to function, enabling a heavily damaged vessel to reach a safe harbour.

The vessel also has a Klingon cloaking device, which has been modified in an attempt to 'mask' the ion trail that the propulsion system creates. This has only been partially successful, at sub-light speeds.

To mask the 'exhaust' of the main Ion engines, a separate system which attempts to disperse the exhaust gases quickly was created.

The vessel is also equipped with two class-20 shuttles and six three-man escape pods.

The USS Avenger although a vessel of war has been equipped with many 'home comforts'. This includes single accommodation for a crew of upto thirty, although the ship can be crewed by just ten.

Also the vessel has a mess hall and galley, a rec-room, gym and a briefing room.

The vessel also has a small sickbay with two bio-beds and is equipped with a Mark Three EMH.
