Deck 1 is entirely composed of the vessel's main bridge, and it is from here
that the commanding officer supervises the entire ship's operation. When seated
in the command chair, located in the sunken center section, the commander has
visual access to all major personnel stations and viewscreens, facilitating
the decision-making process. This room is the nerve center of the Eagle, and
is manned by the top officers of each department.
The Command Chair is in the center of the bridge. Other duty stations are as follows: Counter-clockwise from the turboelevator are Communications, Library Computer, Navigation Systems, Damage Control Monitoring. Clockwise from the turbolift are Engineering and the experimental Project Aegis Tactical station. In front of the Command Chair are Navigation and Helm. All stations are normally manned at all times. Mounted into the room's forward bulkhead is the main viewing screen.
