Decks 2 and 3 house the ship's science laboratories. The aft section of Deck 2 is the upper bay for the Physics lab and houses a large optical telescope. Ion Study, Geology, High Energy Study, Chemistry, Biology and Sociology have labs on Deck 2. There is a small lounge in the elevator lobby.
