Keeping with Starfleet tradition, Deck 5 houses the senior officers' quarters. These staterooms are quite similar to the V.I.P. units on Deck 4, with only a few differences. The sleeping area holds a single large bed.
The center of Deck 5 is occupied by mess areas. The outer periphery of the deck does not come to full ceiling height, and houses life support machinery and the upper port and starboard phaser banks.
