History

The agent known as 'Freelancer' is an alien of unknown origins.

What little is known is that they have been on Earth since the early days of Warp Drive propulsion (Possibly longer.) and that they have worked for both Starfleet Intelligence and Section 31 on a freelance basis (Hence the codename.) since the Federation was founded.

'Freelancer' is NOT a Starfleet Intelligence officer nor a Section 31 operative, but has on many occasions provided information to one or both organisations which has avoided the destruction of the Federation. Whilst Freelancer's motives are not clear, they do appear to involve ensuring that the Federation remains a power within our galaxy.

'Freelancer' came onboard Starbase 901 covertly after picking up rumours of a threat to the Federation from an as yet unknown alien race. They are currently working undercover as a Starfleet officer in order to gain more valuable information, which they will then pass onto SI and Section 31.
