Background

As a young child, James Jackson showed a keen intrest in the outdoors. In high school James excelled quickly in math and science. He was also a star athlete. By his senior year he enrolled in Starfleet Academy and scored very high on the entrance exam. After his first summer of drill he chose the Marine Corps as a career path. He did extremly well in the Marine Corps Academy. In 2366 he graduated number 19 in his class and a Second Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Jackson's first assignment was as second officer in charge of the Federation Embassy detail on the Klingon Homeworld. This was a very good assignment to James. He learned a lot about the Klingon culture.

James went from assignment to assignment for the next 7 years. This period was a hard time for the Marine Corps Officer Corps. No combat or wars to fight meant no room for advancement. Just as fate would have it the Dominion War broke out. James, now a First Lieutenant, would serve as a Force Recon Platoon leader and serve in every ground engagement known, and some unknown. After the War he was Promoted to Captain.

In 2377 James was assigned to the Federation Embassy on Bajor. This would be his fondest assignment. Here he would find his wife and marry two years later. James loved Bajor and bought a farm. He planned on retiring in nine years and living there. However, as the trouble around Supply Base 901 made news around the Federation, he began to fear another war was on the horizon.

Upon the death of the 28th's executive officer, Captain Jackson was quickly promoted to Major and reassigned to the 28th Expedtionary Force on Supply Base 901. James, fearing for his family, said he'd send for them when it was safe.

Personality

James Jackson is seen by most a modest man, which came from his upbringing as child on a farm outside Alanta Georgia. Easy going. Known to sit down with the lowest rank and strike up a conversation about real life problems. Very honorable, known to disarm himself if his enemy is disarmed. True to his beliefs, which are to be honest, respectful and desent. Hates Cardassians - his war experiences and his stay on Bajor didn't help.
