Background

Michael was born in Dublin, Ireland on Earth. A quiet boy, he never made many friends as a youth. He became very close to a girl named Norrine Tara. Unfortunately, during a sporting accident, Tara died, and Michael fell into a hole of quiet despair. He's attempted to commit suicide at least twice before his sixteenth birthday. In an attempt to find somewhere to "belong," Michael joined Starfleet at age 18. He was one of the quickest and smartest members of his class, but no one really noticed him because of his closed personality. As a pilot, Michael excels. He was the best pilot in his class, and was the first to conquer the Kirk 101 holoprogram in 50 years. Michael graduated with honors and was assigned the helm of the USS Arizona stationed to SB 901. He also serves an Operations officer on the station.
