History

Miranda was born on born on Earth in August of 2354. Her father had dearly loved her mother, but she had died shortly after Miranda's birth from an anyerism. SInce she had been 1/2 Betazoid and his daughter was a 1/4, he decided to move to Betazed. There, Miranda was raised. When she was about 2 years old, his father found a Betazoid woman and married her. For a time, it seemed, they were happy. But as Miranda grew older, she felt her step-mother's resentment for her. The woman didn't hide it well either. Around the time she was 6 years old, her father and step-mother moved them back to Earth, she assumed, hoping to make things better. But it only seemed to make things worse. Even her father began coming more and more remote. She felt she had no one to turn to. When her parents finally separated when she was 15 years old, she went to live with her father on Mirkos V since her step-mother didn't want her around. Of course, as it turned out, neither did her father. She was crushed and in a deep depression when she finally contacted Hannah Lawrence, a friend on Earth. Her parents arranged for her to come live with them. When Miranda arrived she was welcomed like part of the family. This was a complete turn of events for her and something she never would have expected. Her grades began pulling up. Her depression reined itself in and she began to smile and laugh more. She finally had a family. When she was old enough, her friend and her both signed up for Starfleet and joined up. Though they stay in contact, they were not assigned to the same place. Miranda last orders had her report to SB901. Once there, being lonely and still a bit naive where relationships are concerned - never had time for anything real serious before - she met Zane Kapshaw. SHe hadn't realized what a scum he was at first, and didn't until she was already pregnant. He was abusive and threated her on many occasions. Then one day fate stepped in. At a Child Birth Prep class, she met Ryan MacLeod who sat beside her to act as her coach. She had thought that would be their last meeting, but a couple weeks later than ran into each other again at Harry's. By the end of that conversation, they had agreed for him to move in. Though it had just been as protection from her Ex for the baby, it ended up being more. He wanted to even take responsibility for her child. They are planning their future together, as it stands on SB901.

Personality

Miranda is a very nice person. She can be encouraging for others. She has been prone to depression, though since her teen years it hasn't been a problem.

Holodeck, spending time with Caprice and Ryan, reading, cooking.
