Background

Jonas was born in Tryack on Timmins II, into a family already falling apart. His parents were not happy together and it was taken out on the kids. Jonas being the youngest took thing very hard. When his parents finally split when he was two years old, he was devistated and he felt as if it were his fault. His father left him with his mother and headed to his next Starfleet assignment as his mother merely went and married the next man that proposed. Someone that was very 'religious' and with many other children.

Though on the outside of the family, you would think they were perfect and religious. What went on at home was anything other than sweet and loving and caring. His mother constantly singled out him and he was abused on a regular basis. One time he was even beat for throwing up, because he was sick. His mother would always prepare different food and tell him, his brother and sister that they had to eat that food because that's what their father had paid for, while the other kids ate what Dayna and her husband were eating. The abuse was so bad that he couldn't wait to get away. Everytime he went to see his father, he wanted to stay, but he couldn't until he was older. Finally the day came and he happily left his mother and step-father's home. To this day he has vivid memories of the beatings and being told by his own mother "I don't know why I even had kids! I hate kids!" And she was a teacher.

When he was with his father, he was very intimidated. His father wasn't abusive, but he had a loud voice and was opinonated. This was enough to make Jonas feel that he couldn't talk to his dad and withdrew from him. He drew closer to his step-mom, Leah. Out of all the parents, she cared the most. She'd never had children of her own and cherished Edwin Jr. Marissa and Jonas. He was happy, but always feeling unsure and theatened. Then he was sexual abused by a neighbor and never told anyone except his wife . . . It was something he never dealt with on any level. As a teen he was also diagnosed having a personality disorder. He was in the hospital for several months as they worked with him to correct it. However, it never did truly get corrected.

After he was released from the hospital and finished his schooling, he applied to Starfleet Academy. They gave him a battery of tests for his disorder and he managed to pass. He liked school because it was an environment where he could succeed. However, he was a bit of a bully and was reigned in twice for it. Finally, he graduated, his specialty was security.

He was then stationed on New Venice as a security officer. It was there that he met Kitty though a mutual friend. He had fallen for her immediately and wouldn't rest until he had her. He did everything to convince her of his undying love and as swept away by him as she was, she believed him. After 3.5 months, they wed - September 14, 2372. But problems were soon to come. He wasn't entirely willing to leave his past of bars and strip clubs. And as the wool came away from Kitty's eyes, she saw the he wasn't as trustworthy as she thought. As they say, love is blind, deaf and dumb.

Six months later, Kitty found out she was pregnant and for awhile they seemed very happy together and Jonas was never more proud than when Kitty gave birth to their son. He had a boy! But as Zachary grew, so did their problems. Their arguments began leading to violence. He was even abusive to Zachary, though not as severe as with Kitty. Eventually, Kitty became pregnant again and they welcomed Arianna into the would, but Jonas knew his time was growing short. He could tell that she was getting tired of the abuse and the fighting.

When she finally filed for divorce and was able to prove the abuse, his parent rights were stripped. He was furious! He could only see the kids with supervision and that infuriated him. What made him even more angry was when Kitty took a position on Space Station 352 as a Security Officer. It was then and there he decied to hatch a plan to get back at Kitty. No one got away with disgracing him and then taking what was his!! And she had disgraced him by divorcing him and taking his kids away . . . Though he never spent time with them and was never around. He eventually went to Space Station 352, waited for Kitty to start her shift, got into her quarters easily, subdued the sitter and took his kids back. He had already made arrangements with the Naussicans . . . As they boarded a shuttle, it was already sabotaged, he put some DNA markers for them in the shuttle and then he had the Naussicans beam them to their ship. It was ingenious!

But once the Naussicans had them aboard, they demanded the techology Jonas had and because the kids wouldn't stop crying they were thrown into the slave hold with the slaves. Jonas didn't care. He had just wanted his revenge on Kitty. In fact, he planned on selling them to the highest bidder, guaranteeing Kitty would never see her children again.

However, because of an anomaly, the Naussican ship was brought into the future by two almost three years. Kitty was then, the Captain of SB901. The ship was captured by the Federation and Kitty's children found in the hold. Jonas was summarily bought up on charges, but during his transfer, he was busted out and escaped. He ended up in the hands of the Mulluran dictator, who ended up making his their Ambassador to the Federations, stations on SB901. He decided to take the opportunity to wreak as much havoc on Kitty's station as possible. His he can't get her back, then no one can have her . . .

Personality

He always thinks he's right. He's arrogant. Thinks he knows more than most specialists. He's quiet when he knows he's been caught lying or has been proved wrong. He's very opportunistic and he likes his dancing girls, when he can get them . . . He would spend lots of credits on lap dances if he could!
