Background

Claire O'Malley was born in New York City on Earth. She is the youngest member of her family. Her mother is Betazoid and her father is human. She graduated from Starfleet Academy with many honors. During the Dominion War, she was assigned to Deep Space Nine. She served aboard the USS Defiant as secondary tactical officer. She was noticed to be very straightforward and honest. Her attitudes got her a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. While on the Defiant she was wounded badly during a scuffle with the Jem'Hadar. While recovering, she went back to Starfleet Academy and studied Command and Negotiation, making her one of the most rounded, wholesome officers currently in Starfleet.

She has never been married, but came very close to a man named Henry Phillip. Henry was among those lost in the Badlands about eight years ago. Claire was too young to realize what love truly was, but still has never quite recovered from her loss. She is very attractive, but can fend for herself.

She was temporarily assigned as chief tactical officer on Starbase 901 while Lt. K'Tag was on leave to the Klingon homeworld. She enjoyed her stay, and requested to be permanently assigned to Starbase 901. She was assigned Negotiation Officer for New Canada once K'Tag returned from his leave. The two met and instantly became close friends.
