Brandon sat at the Captain's chair of the most prized ship he owned, the Daddy's Girl. It was a 23 year old
Cargo ship with 10 decks 5 of those decks were cargo holds. He had 13 people working under him, mostly Bajoran.
Brandon was an easy Captain to serve under and his crew loved him and would follow him to the end of the universe if need be. Daddy's Girl had it's warp drive enhanced so it could achieve warp 7.5 for 13 hours. The ships wepons system had also been modified and were hidden from sensor sweeps in case of running into Pirates.
[Daddy's Girl, this is Deep Space 9 you clear to dock on upper pylon 3.]
Brandon pressed the comm button on arm of his chair. "Roger that DS9."
The ship docked at the pylon easily and Brandon pressed the ship's comm button. "This Captain Larkin here as soon as we unload the cargo we all have two days R&R."
The crew cheered as they heard the news. They had been in space for 82 strait days, and many had families.
A few hours later Larkin left the comforts of his ship to explore and seek out Quark for screwing him over on his last payment.
He walked into Quark's and scanned around, looking for that cheat. He went up to the bar and saw another Ferengi serving drinks. Brandon walked up to him and said, "Listen, get your boss out here now or I'll break one of your fingers every minute until he does."
"I'm right here Larkin." A voice came from behind Brandon.
He turned around and saw Quark. He gave him a mean look.
"Listen how was I to know that the Cardassians outlawed the transport of weapons through their space," he gave one of his usaul grins.
"I want 56 bars of Latinum for my troubles or I'll tell Starfleet AND the Cardassians where I got the cargo of weapons from."
Quark thought for a minute and knew not to mess with Larkin. Hhe still has friends in Starfleet.
Quark pulled out a PADD and said, "All right, I'll give you my new establishment I just started on Supply Base 901, it's worth twice what your asking for so I'll want some compensation in return, or course."
Brandon grabbed the PADD and read it. "Quark, don't make me..."
"Fine! We'll call it even then. I'll take the loss to keep our business relationship."
The truth was that Larkin liked the thought of owning two ships and a bar. "Fine I'll take it. You'll never see me again or ask me for another favor. Got it." With that, Larkin left the bar.
"Quark, didn't you just win that bar in a game of Tongo last night?" asked the Ferengi bar tender.
"Yes, and I never thought I'd get rid of it. Who wants a bar in that place? It's a profitless operation."
