"Sir we are picking up a ship at the coradnates of the Hood." Chief Edwards said from the runabouts OPS station.
"Open the blast shields so we can see Harper." Kelly orderd. The metal doors slid open to show the view ports and the sacuer section of the USS Hood. It had been hit by some sort of wepons fire in several spots.
"Commander, the Lambda flyer is arriving now. They are exploring the aft section." Edwards said. The Hood seemed lifeless and was adrift. The port nacell was venting plasma.
"Sir I'm picking up some 56 life signs, thats all. With all the plasma and radation leakage it's hard to tell where they are." Edwards said.
Kelly thought on what was to be done and was unsure, then Commander Loran hailed them.
[Kelly take your team and beam onto the bridge. From there you should be able to get a good picture on everything. Meanwhile I'll beam into Engineering with Harper, and Call will keep his eyes open for who ever did this.]
"Very well sir."
After arming themselves with emergancy plasma flares and medical kits, the three beamed onto the bridge of the Hood.
The Bridge was dark with a fire burning at the number two science station. The red alert lights were blinking and the centeral readout station (common on all ships now, a computerized blue print of the ship) was flickering.
"Alright Edwards, scan for survivors, and Harper check the Tatical station for anything."
Edwards scanned down by the command chair and found Captain Jennings alive with a head injury and a punctured lung. Harper was trying to get a tatical read out and found nothing except a few neutron emissions aproxamtily five minutes befor the distrees call went out.
"Sir Life support is at 34% and failing. Aux power is at 13% and it apears that the main computer was either destroyed or drained," Harper said to Commander Kelly.
Edwards found three other crewman, all hurt pretty badly. "Sir these people need medical attention now."
"Beam them onto the runabout."
"Aye sir."
"Commander come here quickly," Harper said standing over a dead person scanning him with a tricorder.
Kelly walked over, leaned down, gave a sigh and said, "Perfect, the Son'a. Contact Commander Loren."
Harper gave a look of discomfert, stood up, went back to the tactical station which was a wreck.
"Sir, the ship's internal communication array is down. Some sort of dampingfield is also in place. Either that or the radiation is affecting our own communicators"
"Alright lets beam back to the Delware and try to contact Commander Loren's from there."
