"Okay Harper, it's been twelve hours, you can leave, but don't go anywhere," Lieutenant Commander Pol said, giving a chuckle.
"Thank ya kindly, Sir." Patrick stepped out of the Security office and stepped into the turbo lift. He saw his roomate, Woodrow Murphy.
"Hey, Pat, you care to join me at the new dinning club that just opened?"
Pat was still thinking about the incdent the occured a few days ago, and it bothered him deeply. He thought maybe something new would get his mind off it. "Sure Murph, lets go."
Harper looked at Murphy and saw he wasn't wearing his phaser although the station was still on alert. "Hey Murphy, where is your phaser?"
"I ain't wearing one, gets in the why while fixing those fusion reactors." He replied.
Pat was not ready to argue so he let it go and said nothing. The turbolift stopped at the plaza area after a few minutes. The place seemed to be getting busier every day as the shops began to fill up.
"Hey, there it is, right there," Murphy pointed to a sign that was blinking on and off. It read "The Easy Inn." The two walked in and saw a bar with stools. Towards the rear of the building the actual counter was lit up and a female was tending the bar. There was a stage to the right and a band playing some sort of music. Small tables were located all over and a young human female escorted the two to a small table not far from the bar.
"What will you two gents have?" she asked.
Murphy smiled and said, "I'll have a warp core breach."
Pat then thought what he wanted and said, "Beer or synth ale, what ever is cheaper."
She left and walked over to the bar and spoke with the Bar tender. The bar tender came over with the two drinks. She was a very pretty Bajoran in her late 20's, older then the two sitting at the table. "Good evening. I'm Sorina, owner of this place. I'd like to welcome the both of you to my establishment. We have music, drinks, entertainment upstairs, and games such as billiards free with a price of a drink." She gave a good friendly smile.
"I thank you miss, this is quite a place here," Pat said.
"And why do you say that sir?"
"Cause you and your help are a bunch of pretty ladies."
Sorina gave a smile and said, "For that crewman..."
"Harper Patrick at your service, Mam"
"For that, Harper Patrick, your drink and your friend's is on the house." She then left the table.
Patrick slapped his leg and said. "Damn Murph, have you ever seen such a lady before."
"Yaeh at Quarks a year ago, she hustled 300 bars of latnuim from him."
Pat was a little angry that his friend didn't get the point and he said to himself, Tis a grand thing females.
