Lieutenant Call was sitting in the Confrence room waiting for Admiral McCaffee and a few other senior staff officers. After a while the Admiral walked in with Lt. Commander Kelly, and Commander Wallace. They seemed to have a serious look on thier faces.
"Okay everyone that I need is here." McCaffee said.
"Whats the problem Admral?" Kelly asked.
"Nothing really. Just have a job for you Commander Kelly and Lieutenant Call."
"What sort of job? Sir." Call asked
"Your to take a runabout and scout the area ahead where these colonist are going. Commander Wallace has thier scheduled course that they wished to follow, however since the Son'a are acting up. We must make sure it's safe. After all they are federation citzens."
Wow something actually fun and exciting for a change. Call thought to himself..
"When do we leave?"
"At 2100 hrs." Wallace said.
"And how long will this take?" Kelly asked.
Wallace picked up a PADD and scanned for the estimated time of arrival.
"13 hours. 5 to get there and 8 to scan the sourunding area." Kelly made a few notes in his PADD and then asked for some more information.
"What ship."
"You'll be in docking bay two the runabout Delaware."
"Okay thank you Maam and Mister Wallace."
With that Kelly left to get some things done before the estimated time of departure. After Kelly Left so did McCaffee.
Call stood up and walked over to Commander Wallace and who was now standing at the view port looking out at the Briar Patch. "Sir do you remember me now?"
Richard turned around and looked at the young Lieutenant. "Sorry I can't seem to place you."
"I served with you on AR-558 10 years ago."
Wallace gave a look that showed shock in his face and shook his head in disgust.
"Sorry Call I try hard to forget that terriable place, and I should've tried to remember face better."
" It's all right sir, I'm glad to be serving with you again."
" Thank you Lieutenant lets hope it's under better circumstances."
"Me too Commander me too."
