Author: Gunnery Sargeant Corran
Earthdate: June 1, 2385
Location: Supply Base 901

Five Marines assembled in the enlisted briefing room in Marine Country onboard Starbase 901. Gunnery Sergeant Corran was the highest ranking of them all with Staff Sergeant Hendricks, his spotter and friend in tow. Corporal Pasquez, a sniper trainee entered with Lance Corporal Jenkins, and finally Lance Corporal Mullarky, one of Captain Alcon's medical corpsman. Corran stood at the end of the oval conference table while the others took seats. "I'm glad that you all volunteered for this mission," Corran started as he looked around the room. "This one is big, and I didn't want to assign anyone to a potentially deadly mission. Thank you all."

Corran looked behind him and activated the viewscreen on the wall. "This man is Brigadier Mazon Durlav. He's in charge of a Mulluran prison camp on planetoid HA-322. Oh, and everything said here is strictly classified." He looked around to make sure he received nods from everyone else. "Good. Our mission is simple. Infiltrate the base and eliminate him. The only problem is this: not to leave any trace of us being there. I'm sure all of you know that the official position of the UFP government and with Starfleet is that we are in a non-aggression stance with the Mulluran Empire." A few groans escaped from the four others. "I know, I'm not exactly thrilled about it either. Orders are orders however, and we must make sure that we don't leave any Federation calling cards around."

Corran paused for a moment getting a drink of water before continuing. "This is going to be a two stage operation. First stage, insertion and reconnaisance. We will smuggle on to the planetoid in a freighter that is delivering supplies for the labor camp."

"Sarge, who's crazy enough to fly us there?" Pasquez asked.

"Colonel Tarik has enlisted the help of one Mr. Ashton Liteboughlt. He will be masquerading as the supply ship for the day, and will beam us down with the cargo transfer. Luckily the cargo processing on the asteroid base is all automated with no actual personnel working at the processing facility. To be on the safeside, however, he will beam us into a storage facility here," Corran added, pointing at a layout of the facility. "From this point, we will travel by sewer systems to this point." A point highlighted on the map showing a small maintenance facility on the far end of the base.

"Intel on the base reports that this maintenance shed contains some old ore processing equipment that hasn't been used in over a month now. Apparently the ore in the area has run dry and they are currently having the laborer's mine the surrounding area looking for another resource to mine.Questions so far?" He looked around and received only silence. "Good. This maintenance facility will give us a clear line of site to the main yard barracks yard. Intel reports every morning at the labor camp the Brigadier goes out to address his workforce with the great Mulluran propaganda speach to 'inspire' his work force. This is going to be the opportune time to hit him."

Corran looked around the room for confirmations from the group. Corporal Paquez and I will be the snipers for the day. Jenkins and Hendricks will be our spotters. They will also act as guards using Klingon disrupters."

"Why Klingon disrupters?" Lance Corporal Mullarky asked.

"Klingon weapons are easily procured on the black market while Federation ones are not," Corran replied. Mullarky nodded in acknowledgment. "Mullarky you're going to be our corpsman. I don't forsee any problems, however, we may require your services."

"Understood Gunny."

"Good. We leave at seventeen-hundred hours tomorrow. Be ready to leave by sixteen-hundred. We'll finalize plans of operation and our equipment list then. Dismissed." Corran cleared the briefing and deleted it from the computer's memeory.

The group filed out of the briefing room with Hendricks the last standing near the doorway. "I'm not a fan of this one Corran."

"You and me both." The two left the briefing room. "I understand Starfleet's and the Federation's position on the recent... occurrences around these parts, but I'm not necessarily sure I condone it." He placed the PADD he was reading off of before in his pant cargo pocket. "Gives us a chance to do something, however. I was getting bored not doing anything."

"Me too," Hendricks replied. He gave a small smile as the two rounded the corner. It was time to hit the night scene before leaving tomorrow.
