"Life's Surprises"

Author: Lt. Talia Tigre, Lt. Jake McIlhenny
Earthdate: June 24, 2385
Location: Spacedock - Hammerhead hanger

The fit was tight within the hammerhead cockpit, but Talia and Jakey made it work to their advantage, as they passionately devoured one another. Their clothes had been non-existent for the last three hours. They had barely stopped to get a breath in. Talia had never remembered feeling so aroused as she looked into Jakey's eyes. She moved her hips and brought both of them pleasure. She then kissed him.

"Stay with me Jakey . . . Stay with me forever . . ." she said as she ran her fingers through his blond hair, feeling his hot breath on her neck.

His eyes bore into her for a moment. "Tiger, are you . . . asking me to marry you?" he said, a bit stunned.

She was quiet for a moment as if debating what she'd said. She'd said she wanted him to be with her forever . . . Wasn't that marriage, she thought? She nodded. "Yes," she said with a smiled, as she moved on him again, causing him to moan. "I want you to marry me . . . Will you? And will you love me forever?" she said, as she moved again.

He moaned again, and pulled her to him, kissing her deeply. "I have wanted to marry you since the first time we met . . . I love you, Talia . . . Nothing will change that . . ." he said.

"I love you too, Jakey . . . I always have . . ." she replied, kissing him again.

With that knowledge, he picked up the pace of their love making, as if a fire of a different nature had been started within him. One within his soul. As they cried out together, they didn't notice that beyond the hammerhead, the station's environmental controls were releasing some sort of gas. They held each other, but as they finally raised the canopy of the craft and breathed in the gas, the antidote began to work.

Jakey still had Talia in his arms, within the cockpit of the hammerhead. Her aqua colored eyes gazed at him, as the fog cleared from their minds. The uncontrolled passion was gone, but something else was there . . . Something more.

Jakey tenderly caressed her face and ran his hand through her auburn hair. "You were always the most beautiful girl in any room . . ."

For the first time, she had no words. She merely blushed as she smiled softly.

He pulled her to him, and kissed her with all the love that was in his heart. His fingers intertwined in her hair and caressed her neck and back, while hers went around his neck and through his hair. As they began to explore each other yet again, this time was different . . . They couldn't say how, or why, but it was . . . It was clear . . . Thoughtful . . . One that would be committed to memory for both . . . The one after their engagement . . .

"So who gets the engagement ring?" Jakey asked with a smirk.

For a moment, they stopped, as they both laughed softly.
