Murphy was made his way to the bridge, and started working on the bridge's main power coupling. After working for 23 minutes the control panels all came alive, and the over head bridge lights came on. Well this is going well. Murph thought to himself. He pulled out a PADD and went over the next major thing to fix. The list showed that the comm system needed to be fixed, and the impulse drive.
Murphy thought over either getting the impulse drive working first, or the comm system. He walked into Deck 3 the entrance to main Engineering. He saw an Ensign was working on the plasma flow relay junction. Which meant he was going to be powering up all the ships, systems. The Arizona's different systems had it's own power source for if the ships plasma flow converter was damaged in battle.
Murphy knew that if the plasma flow converter was up and running, all systems would be up and running. Thus allowing everything else to be fixed quickly.
"Ensign do you need some help?" Murphy asked.
"Ah yes please, call me Lucas, not Ensign." Lucas said, extending his hand in the normal friendly gesture.
"I'm Murphy but call me Murph."
"I'm an officer but not Starfleet, so just don't call me Lucas while the Commander is around."
"Okay deal."
"Alright hand me that sonic spanner and the tricorder after I take the panel off."
"Okay."Murph grapped the tools and waited as the Ensign open the Control panel.
Lucas started working and the sounds of the tricorder echoed through out the room. "Oh damn," Lucas said.
"What, is it?"
"I can't say for sure." Murphy grabed the tricorder and saw the ODN system was having trouble adjusting to the rate it called for.
"Sir, this was one of the problems on the Defiant class ships, Chief O'Brian on DS9 used to adjust it at a higher rate, he shut the safety program for the plasma conduits."
"How do you do that?" Lucas asked.
"Pull out the ODN 037-delta chip right here." Murph put his hand in the panel and pulled out.
After 24 minutes the humming of the Plasma came from all over the ship and was familiar and comforting sound.
Murph walked over the display panel in engineering and saw certain sytems coming on. The ships main power would be on line within 2 hours.
