The Arizona had reached Polrika III and began it's entering of the planet's atmosphere. The planet was much what the Cardassian's like, for an environment.
"All Hands this is your Captain speaking, prepare for planetary landing," Wallace said from his command chair.
[Sir the Warp core is off line,] Garek said from the ships Engineering room over the comm channel.
"The ship is at blue alert sir." Nevar said from the master weapons control station, looking at the Captain.
"Very well Ensign take us down at one quarter impulse power," Richard said to Kelvin.
"Aye Aye sir. Entering the planet's upper ionosphere," Kelvin said.
The Arizona approached and entered the planet rather smoothly to the Cardassian's surprise.
"Extend landing struts, and commence landing," Wallace said at the young Ensign.
The Defiant class ship hovered above the surface about 14 meters away from the surface. As the landing struts extended out. Then the ship sat down, giving a lit jolt on the ship.
"We have landed sir," Nevar said.
"Very well. Nevar get your men ready. And I hope you have to shed no blood," Wallace said giving a look of hope at the second officer.
Kelly quickly went over to Nevar's empty chair and went over the most important priority for now. The sensor masking system.
"Sir, Garek reports the masking system, is ready to go," Kelly said turning his chair around to the Commander's.
"Very well activate the mask."
Vince pressed the button and the ships power and transponder single disappeared. The ship was no invisible to a sensor sweep.
"Mister Kelly, I want all personnel wearing a side arm."
"Aye Aye sir."
Now it was time to see if the commander was correct and if so, would it be successful or not. Kelly reminded himself to think positive and get back to the work at hand.
