Richard was getting very uneasy his friend Commander Waters was late. He would of not disobeyed orders. Wallace thought to himself. It was starting to get to be dusk on the planet surface.He now waited for Nevar's party to show up. At that moment he turned and looked towards the woods and saw Nevar's party, and some civilans.
"Let them in Ensign."Wallace said to a guard near front of the town square.
"Report Commander."Wallace said and saw Commander Kelly still alive.
"Deveraux was attacked and his team suffered bad. And about 200 hundred Son'a and 45 Aliens I've never seen have showed are about 2 clicks behind us."Nevar said trying to catch his breath.
"Dr.Cherrin check the wounded."
Wallace walked around for a few minutes and then gathered up the senior officers.
"Alright listen up this force out numbers us 10 to 1.
So what we do is draw them into the town square, and set off some antimatter charges."
"Were the hell are we ? When this takes place." Murphy asked.
"That trench is known as the alamo. When I give the word we all pull back, and use your tricorder, to denate it."
The staff was quite, and nobody had an idea what was going to happen. Only a few had seen action before.
It was quite that night nothing important happend. Wallace stood on guard duty most of the night. The planet's single moon was full, and lit up the area infront of the town. Wallace also saw the Sun come up.
Then he turned to see a hand full of Son'a and something flying with them.It was small 1 meter long, and two meters wide.
"Everyone to their positions!!!"Wallace yield as he dropped behind a desk for cover.
The camp came alive and the sounds of phaser fire erupted. The Son'a charged ahead and fired. The things that were flying were firing too.
One hit a crew man in his head, some three meters from Wallace. The crew man was a science team member.
Lieutenant Call ran up along side Wallace."What the hell are those things?"
"Son'a drones. Type 3 phasers sounds like" Wallace replied.
He saw a Son'a get in his site, and he fired. The Son'a fell backwards. This was the first time he fired a phaser at anyone since the T'rais boarded the Virgo in the Gamma. A year ago
"They are pulling back the Son'a." Call said standing up.
"No damn it get down the Drones are still around."Wallace yield, as a drone fired two shots, and hit Call.
"No!!!!!" Wallace yield out he fired at the drone causing it to explode. He then turned and ran to Call laying on his side and blood coming out.
"Doctor!!!" Wallace turned Call on his back, as Cherrin ran to help, as did Murphy, and Kelly.
"Rip his shirt open." Cherrin ordered.
Two phaser holes were in him, one wasn't normal it was bleeding, not burned like the one in his shoulder. The hole was in his area above his stomache.
Cherrin scanned with a tricorder, and didn't like what he saw."Sir there was an anitcoagulant fired into his body. I can't stop the bleeding. It's tore through his liver and spleen."
Wallace had his hand on the hole to try and stop the bleeding."Oh this hurts." Call cried out.
Cherrin gave him an ejection. Wallace knew that Call was going to die.
"Anything we can do Call.?" Murphy asked holding Call's hand.
"I...could ...use a little more pain relief."Call said as blood came out of his mouth.
"Do it that's an order." Wallace said looking at Cherrin.
Cherrin emptied his hypo spray, into Call. Call laid there on his back twitching, and blood coming out of his nose, and mouth and between Wallace's fingers.
"Mama.. I want a go home. Mama I want a go home. Mama ..mama.....mama."Call cried out, and then he stopped breathing.
Murphy fell to his butt, and tried not to show emotion, for he just saw a good man die infront of his eyes.
Wallace stood up and looked at the blood on his hands, and tried to fight back emoition. He wipped the blood off on his pants."Keep a sharp eye, they'll be back. Kelly I'll be in the Governer's place."
Wallace walked in and sat down on the desk for he had seen one too many good people die. He also herd those cries in his sleep at night, and now another to add. He rubbed his forehead and then decided to turn his anger into a weapon.
"Wallace sir, the Enemy have formed up, and are ready for another attack."Kelly said walking through the door.
Wallace walked out to see 150 enemy in the woods and 50 Son'a Drones, infront of the lines.
"Alright you know what to do let's get to it." Wallace walked over to his postion and where Call was killed.
Now was the time to make a stand an defeat the Son'a, and allow the world to know what they have done.
