Commander Kelly was going over a few things in the Runabout's computer while waiting for his other team member. He checked the sensor masking system, and saw it was online.
Then the door to the runabout came open, and Cadet Razek stumbled in. Still trying to wake up, and giving a yawn.
"You here mentally Cadet?" Vince asked.
"Yes sir, the Captain said and thought it was a good idea to come along." Razek said giving a good stretch.
"Okay take a seat and get ready for take of it's 2443 hours, I want to leave before 0100." Kelly said walking over to Tactical two, and running another system check.
Vince was being very careful this time, and didn't want a repeat of last time. Even though in the end he was promoted.
"Alright let's get the hell out of here." Kelly said taking his seat.
"This Runabout Mississippi requesting permission to take off."
[Permission granted]
The runabout took off at warp 6.3. It could hold that warp for only for 2 hours. Mainly because of petty officer Murphy's ability.
Two hours was all Vince needed, it would place him nearer to the J-class Nebula. After the two hours were up, he'd drop to warp 3.1 for the remaining trip.
Nine hours later the runabout came to the coordinates provided by Ms.Amelia Dongahy. Vince dropped out of warp, and scanned around.
"Sir I am not picking up any vessels."Razek made a comment.
"Alright give me full impulse power, we will check out the nebula." Vince started to make course corrections, took control of the helm.
The runabout entered the nebula and, started to bank starboard and to then port. Due to the storms raging in there.
"Sir this place is a mess. No way anyone could live here."
Then all of a sudden a current pulled the Runabout into another ionic disturbance, and then threw it port. The ship then went into high warp speed of 16.2
Vince, and Ethan, were speechless, and were virtually stuck to the seats. Then after 19 minutes of warp thirteen flight. It stopped.
The runabout then started to show signs of wear, and sparks flew from a panel.
"Sir, our integrity field is gone, plasma conduit has burned out."
Vince then went to the tactical station, and then to Engineering, and made a few checks. "Okay I have shut the sensor masking system down, and got us a impulse drive. We'll head to a planet half a light year. We can use the polar axis to hide from whomever." Vince sat down and began a few scans of the area, and then made a few request.
