Murphy left Wallace's office to, great joy. Richard had a splitting headache, and was hating himself. He walked over to replicator, and order some black coffee. He took it, and sat down on his couch.
"Shoot, man. I thought I'd never learn."
Then the comm. channel, opened up. Causing another pound on Wallace's head.
[Sir Star Fleet is on the subspace.] The voice sounded like Razek's.
Richard got up and walked over to his desk, and sat infront of his computer, then tapped his comm. badge. "Very well route it through here."
The screen came alive, with a man little older then Wallace, with gray hair, he had Captain's Pips. [Captain Wallace, I'm Captain Roberts, Chief of Strategic Operations., for the entire Fleet.]
"Yes, how may I help you Captain?"
[I understand you've pretty much eliminated, the Son'a threat, with rather limited forces.]
"Yes, but the credit goes to the crew. Not me alone."
[Non sense, I also understand you are charging your Intelligence officer with several charges.]
Richard kept his feelings hidden, and tried to be informative with out being judgmental. "Yes sir."
[Well, I want you and your Executive Officer, and the person who brought these charges, forward, and the accused, to leave for earth in 24 hours.]
"How, sir the Arizona was destroyed?"
[Take the Midway. I want to say thanks for quick action, on the Son'a threat. Roberts out.] The screen went blank.
Oh, great. These will be real freakin fun.
Then the door chimed beeped, and Wallace looked up to see Garek, attending at the door. He had the usual happy look.
Garek walked in, and took a seat on the couch. "So you have fun last night?"
"Oh, man I can't remember last night." Wallace replied.
"Yeah, well I have something for you." Garek pulled a card of sorts, out of his cargo, pockets, and threw it over to Wallace.
"What's this?" Free month of Holo Suites, at the Easy Inn. A Birthday present."
"Hey keep it quite, man."Richard said putting the card in his pocket.
"We have to leave in 24 hours for earth, on the Midway. I hope most of the repairs are done."
"Yeah most are. What are we going to earth for?" Garek asked.
"Kelly's trial, and something else I have a bad feeling about."
"Old gloomy Wallace." Garek said giving a chuckle, walking out of the office..
