Paul kicked off his boots and collapsed on his chair. He picked up a PADD and relaxed with a bottle of beer. The PADD contained information on the B'aku planet and the regenerative effects of the planets rings. Paul read over the information absorbing it all like a sponge. Eternal youth eh? Paul put down the PADD and wlaked to the mirror in his quarters.
"Could do with looking a bit younger" he said to himself as he eyed his face over. "Peraps a beard too" he thought as he stroked hs neck and chin.
He returned to his chair and necked down the remainder of his bottle. What iz zere to do on zis ship? he thought to himself as he paced up and down his quarters. After living on a station with so many things to do, living on a ship again was a bit odd and slightly dull.
Paul decided that he would check out the stellar cartography lab.
He walked in and was truly amazed by what was before him. He had seen the astrometrics lab from the USS Voyager implemented in other ships. He used the Discovery's stellar cartography lab quite frequently, but this was in a league of its own. It incorporated a design from old galaxy class ships where you were sorrounded on all sides by a huge sphere which displayed star charts. Also, a holographic screen could materialise in front of you that would display any other relevant information such as planetsm their atmospheres and other scientific data.
Paul walked toward the console and brought up the large holographic screen. He brought up all information on the Ba'ku planet, specifically information pertaining the radiation in the rings.
It was well into the night before he finally decided to call it a night. They would reach the Ba'ku planet in the morning. Paul wanted to maximise his time on the planet so he could get as much exposure as possible.
