The Ceremony was a nice one, for now First Lieutenant John Anderson. Wallace was glad that his old student had been given and took another chance at being an officer. He remembered the bright eyed Anderson back before their first operation together. Now Anderson was more experienced and not as naive.

Richard was in his office, and was making up an assignment for a young Ensign Razek, he figured the chance to lead an and be in charge of an assignment would either prove two things to Captain Wallace. One Razek was an able officer, and could complete a mission well, or two he would fail and have to earn Wallace's trust.

However Captain Wallace, saw this young man's potential while on his field tour. So he had great faith in the Ensign now. And knew the Ensign wouldn't disappoint him. Richard took a deep breath and and tapped his Comm badge.

"Ensign Razek, please report to my office right now."

[Aye, Aye sir.]

Ensign Razek walked in and stood at attention infront of the Commanding Officer's desk. "Ensign Razek reporting as ordered sir."

"At ease Ensign." Wallace said, seeing the Ensign's uneasiness of being infront of his commanding officer.

"Ensign, we have 6 monitoring devices that need to placed around the Nebula, that you and Lieutenant Kelly discovered was a short cut to the Delta Quadrant.

I want you to take the runabout Ruhr, and some equipment for you and Chief Murphy to build a communications array for that second planet in that star system we found. The trip will take about 5 days. Once your done with the communications array power it up and come back here."Wallace handed over a PADD that had the instructions that were more detailed then his. "You'll leave around 1500 hours today."Wallace added.

Razek was quite and was unsure of what to say. Wallace saw the uncertainty in his face, and Richard then said a few encouraging words. "Listen, your a Command level officer. Your also a junior officer that needs to gain experience and respect from your fellow crew. This is a great lesson for your career. Now get out your dismissed."

After working for a few hours, Richard started to think about Lieutenant Green. Captain Wallace enjoyed her company even though they had been around each other only for a few hours. But he knew he had work to finish. For the next few days a few Star Fleet ships would arrive to pick up the dilthuim being mined on New Canada. The ships of course were old civilian freighters, under contract with Star Fleet. Other then that things seemed rather quiet.

It was lunch time and Wallace was making his way to the Star Lounge for a meal. The Star Lounge made good human, and other foods. Richard went for the meat loaf which was loved by most on the station. It damn near tasted like home made pot roast. He ordered that and cup of coffee. As he waited for his food he saw Lieutenant Green walk in. She quickly made her way over to the table where Wallace was sitting.

"May I take a seat sir?" She asked.

"Of course. I'd like that." Wallace said standing up, and pulling her chair out for her.

"So, Lieutenant what brings you to my table?" Wallace asked with a smile.

"Nothing really, just really don't know anyone around the station all that much."

"Sorry, I'm sure you'll make friends soon enough. I was wondering Lieutenant would like to join me tonight?" Hell man, just be strait forward. Wallace thought to himself.

"For what? Captain."

"I have reserved some time in the holosuite for some scuba diving on earth around some old battleships off an atoll."

"Sure, why not nothing better to do any ways. What time?"

"Perfect 1930 hours." Wallace felt good, now he wouldn't be doing something by himself. He had a partner in crime. Of course Garek and Wallace played some on the holodeck on the Virgo, it wasn't the same.
