Captain Roberts was finally able to get a secure channel open to Star Fleet command. Admiral McCaffee and Admiral Zultok were sitting at a briefing table on earth waiting for Captain Roberts to speak first. After all he had requested the meeting via comm channel.
"Sirs, I have good news. We have recaptured the Morristown star system and are holding. We have caused the Jem'hadar to split their forces and thin out their lines. Captain Wallace has captured some vital information about the Mullura. I am sending it to you now. In that information you'll find a potential ally in there. They are called the G'Kar. They have been oppressed from many years. I am asking that you for permission to send Captain Wallace to the G'Kar and hammer out a peace treaty. If we can keep the pressure on the Jem'Hadar for now, according to my sources the Jem'hadar will be unable to sustain these loses no longer then 5 months. If we do that the Mullura will try and launch an offensive. Now if we have a peace treaty with the G'Kar they can strike them in the rear and will cause mass confusion and unrest." Roberts stopped and waited for a response.
McCaffie spoke first. [Why send Captain Wallace? Not Captain Benteen?]
"Captain Wallace will be a symbol of that we can win. I'll send Commander Mallory with him. Sir the situation will be contained. I can promise victory in less then a year. If we can keep pressure on the enemy they will be finished with in 5-9 months."
[Are certain of this?] Admiral Zultok asked.
"Most defiantly. These Jem'hadar are much different then any encountered thus far."
[Very well Captain do what you must command out.] The view screen went blank and Roberts gave a sigh of relief. He turned and looked at Captain Wallace sitting over in the corner of Captain Roberts's make shift headquarters.
"When do we go?" Wallace asked standing up, tucking his tunic.
"Tomorrow at 0430 hours." Roberts handed a PADD over to Wallace. The PADD contained the official Federation proposal. Andrew then stood up with and motioned to follow him as he left the office. As the two officers walked through the corridor to the Command deck, Roberts spoke briefly of his desire of what was going to happen while Wallace was on his mission.
"Richard if we keep the pressure on the Jem'Hadar we will cause them to surrender. It's a major step towards ending this damn war."
"How sir?" Wallace was most intrigued with this notion.
"That Lieutenant Anderson did an outstanding job on that Moon. You and Colonel Tarik have both put him in for promotion. I had his promotion accepted General Arlies the Marine Brigade Commander that the 28th follows under owed me a favor." Roberts quiet talking as the both of them entered the command deck, which was busy with activity. The two walked over to Wallace's office, and continued the conversation.
"There is only two Ketra Cell white faculties in the Jem'Hadar territory. Well their is one about 13 hours from here, guarded by 24 Jem'Hadar and three attack ships. Their planetary defenses are minimal. If they can attack and be out of there in 28 hours. The Jem'Hadar would only have one white plant left."
Wallace liked the idea. He knew the Jem'Hadar would hate to take the brunt of any assault and their treaty with the Mullura would be in grave danger if they contained to take the hits and punches.
"Very well, sir I'll have Colonel Tarik ready a detachment and have him lead the assault. He's an expert in raids."
"No Captain Wallace. Colonel Tarik is a Colonel now, he's far too valuable to lead a raid. Anderson will lead the raid. Have Tarik work the plans out and Anderson will carry them out. Well I have to get back to work. You get your crew ready." Captain Roberts left Wallace's office.
