K'Tag walked towards the air dock, with anticipation. He was excited to meet his new daughter for the first time. N'Garen stepped onto the promenade. She looked around in amazement of her new home. K'Tag stepped forward.
"Hello, my name is K'Tag, I have adopted you as of yesterday." K'Tag spoke with an uncertainty in his voice.
"Yes, I know, I am very grateful you did that for me. You do need to know though, I miss my father, and I have never lived with anyone else as far back as I can remember. And I have never lived with a Klingon." N'Garen put herself out on the line. K'Tag felt he should give her a lecture, since she was half Klingon, but decided against it.
"You would be happy to know then, Captain Mallory has expanded my quarters, and given you your own room, and bathroom. You are not to tell anyone of this though, they might get jealous." K'Tag smiled at the sight of his new daughter.
"Okay, I won't say anything, I promise."
"Good, lets go for a walk and meet everyone here on the station!"
"Okay, I guess I would like that."
The two walked and made small talk on there way to their first stop, Sickbay.
"Hello Lieutenant Cherrin, this is N'Garen, she is a new operations officer here on the station."
"Oh! how wonderful to meet you, your young to be an operations officer." Lt. Cherrin said as he looked over her files.
"Thank you, I have worked really hard to get somewhere, I'm glad to be here." N'Garen responded with a sweetness in her voice.
K'Tag and N'Garen continued their walk, K'Tag entered into the conference room, where everyone was waiting for him. N'Garen had never had so many people interested in her at one time.
"We are going to have a meeting, but I brought you up to meet everyone first." K'Tag spoke to N'Garen quietly and somewhat under his breath.
"This is Commander Loran, Commander Nadira, ensign Razek, and chief petty officer Murphy. Over here we have Lieutenant Deveraux, and Lieutenant Kassia. And over here we have Colonel Tarik, Major Jackson, and First Lieutenant Piccolo."
"Hello everyone" N'Garen said. Everyone could tell right away that she was a shy person.
"And this is your new captain, Captain Mallory."
"Hello, nice to meet you, thank you for this opportunity." N'Garen smiled at her first captain, and Captain Mallory just nodded her head.
"Captain perhaps your family would like to join my family for dinner tonight, in our quarters" K'Tag inquired.
"That sounds nice thank you, we will be there at 1800 hours." K'Tag looked down at his new family member and winked.
"This is Ensign Parmley, he has agreed to walk you to your new quarters." K'Tag said as he motioned toward a towering human male.
"Thank you" again, the sweetness in her voice could be heard throughout the entire station.
Ensign Parmley, and Cadet N'Garen left the room speechless.
"Okay everyone please sit down so we can get our meeting underway" Captain Mallory spoke with a stern tone of voice. K'Tag sat down, relieved.
That seemed to go pretty well he thought to himself.
