The USS Mersey dropped out of Warp at the co-ordinates given to Paul by Mot Agoj, before Christmas. Now, he felt it was time to go and check things out and try and put an end to these visions he was having. They hadn't been occurring as regularly recently, but they were growing in intensity, particularly while he was asleep.
Paul entered the cockpit from the rear of the shuttle and took his seat at the helm. Odd he thought. He looked out of the window, and there wasn't a planet in sight. He ran a sensor scan of the system. There wasn't a single planet within a light year... he wasn't in a planetary system at all... just open space.
As he was trying to figure out why exactly he had been given these co-ordinates, the computer gave him his answer.
<Warning, vessel approaching.>
"What type?"
<Configuration Unknown.>
"Must be zhe Swarvanz coming to meet me," reasoned Paul. He checked the status of the incoming vessel, he noticed their shields raising and weapons charging. "What iz zhis?" he asked.
Before he could do anything, the vessel was on top of him, and had locked on to the Mersey with a tractor beam.
"Zhis is Lieutenant Paul Deveraux, of zhe USS Merzey. Why 'ave you locked a tractor beam on me?"
"Paul, this is Mr. Agoj. I'm sure you remember me... If you want a straight answer, I want a Federation runabout, and you have just provided me with one. You see Lieutenant, this is not the Swarvan system, I led you out here, so I could take your ship."
Paul smiled as he heard the familiar sound of a transporter beam in the rear compartment. He quickly raised a forcefield and turned around. There were three men in the rear compartment with particularly nasty looking rifles.
"Computer, release anesthezine gas into zhe rear compartment."
The three men dropped to the ground. Paul lowered the forcefield, he dragged the three men into the back of the runabout and secured them in the sleeping quarters. He'd bring them back to SB 901 for security to handle them for attempted hijacking of Federation property. He then, took a phaser and stepped onto the transporter pad.
Paul rematerialised on the bridge of Agoj's ship. He quickly stunned all of the bridge crew before Agoj, before they had a chance to react.
"Mr. Agoj... What did you sink you were playin' at, ah? Attempting to 'ijack a Federation vessel. You should 'ave known you would fail."
"Anything's worth a go, Mr. Deveraux. When you have as many things as I have, your always wanting to increase your collection with more difficult things to obtain."
"Well, zhis ship was too difficult for you, mon amis. 'Ow many crew do you 'ave onboard zhis ship?"
"Two more in engineering."
"Order zhem up 'ere."
"Tuuvel, Bevmi, come to the bridge," said Agoj into the intercom.
The two soon arrived on the bridge and were welcomed by Paul waving a phaser in their faces. It wasn't long before Paul had secured all of Agoj's crew on the Mersey and with Agoj's ship in tow, was on his way back to SB 901.
"Lieutenant Deveraux to SB 901 docking control, requesting permission to dock."
[Permission granted, Lieutenant,] answered the Captain. [Did you have any luck Lieutenant?"
"Nah... just a dead end...."
