K'Tag walked down the long coridor to Captain Mallory's quarters. He paced back and forth for what seemed to him to be an eternity. The hallways were empty, not much seemed to be happening now that the holidays were over.
As K'Tag started to ring the door to the captain's quarters, Captain Mallory appeared. She jumped to see the towering Klingon standing outside her door.
"K'Tag, can I do something for you?" Captain Mallory still felt in debt to K'Tag as well as Tarik for rescuing young Zac, only a little more than a month earlier. "I have never seen you up so early." She smiled, but could sense something was wrong.
"Yes, last night I received a priority one message from the Klingon high council. It turns out I have been summoned to return to Qo'noS to conduct some business." K'Tag looked nervous as he spoke.
"Well, what kind of business?" Captain Mallory stared into K'Tag and spoke very slowly and calmly, attempting not to upset K'Tag.
"I cannot be sure, all I do know, it has to do with my house and my training from the Klingon Warrior School."
"The Klingons are fighting with the Mullurans. I cannot allow you to go." Captain Mallory wasn't sure out to do or think, she was sure this wasn't how she wanted to start out her day.
"Captain, I have to go, I request a leave of duty." Captain Mallory looked at K'Tag standing there at attention.
"Let's get something clear, I grant your request, but you will be back in one week, and you are in no way affiliated with Starfleet while you are there, understood?"
"I understand, Could you watch out for N'Garen while I am gone?" K'Tag asked with a scared tone in his voice. Indeed this giant Klingon was afraid. He didn't know where he was going or what he was supposed to do.
"When do you ship out?" Captain Mallory could tell, this wasn't really something K'Tag wanted to do, but he felt it was something, he needed to do.
"A Klingon bird of prey is on its way to the station now. It should be here in a couple of hours."
"Okay, so..." Captain Mallory's voice trailed off.
"I'll be okay, I'll return in one week. I promise," K'Tag tried to reassure the Captain.
"K'Tag, I value our friendship. I'll take good care of N'Garen, and I'll see you in a week." With that K'Tag spun around and began to walk back to his quarters. He packed his bags, and selected his blades he wanted to take with him.

As K'Tag boarded the Klingon vessel he was greeted by 40 Klingon officers dressed in full class A uniforms.
"Qu'pla" A Klingon standing among the 40 shouted. The ship smelled like rotting food, and was dimly lit.
"Qu'pla" K'Tag responded. A Klingon pointed at him and motioned for him to follow.
