Klingon Bird of Prey/ Mulluran Vessel, January 5, 2385....
"Evasive maneuvers, now" K'Tag yelled. He wanted to be sure everyone heard him over the loud hum of the giant Klingon vessel. "Continue fire ... target weapons and their warp drive."
"Captain, I'm reading two small vessels closing on our location," a Klingon voice called from the front of the room.
"Acknowledged" K'Tag spoke very firmly.
"Sir, we have knocked out their shields." The giant Klingon spoke with a pleasant almost excited tone.
"Okay, prepare a boarding party and board the vessel, secure the data, and we will get you out of there."
"Captain it is customary for the captain to attend the away team, and make the first kill."
"I understand, you, you and you, your with me, lets go...." K'Tag pointed at the largest most muscular build of the bridge crew, including the giant Klingon named Commander Kanal. The four beamed over to the Mulluran vessel. They looked around and agreed they were in the ship's hold.
"Okay, what are our orders?" Commander Kanal asked.
"This vessel is carrying four Klingon hostages, and much-needed tactical information concerning a Mulluran and Romulan treaty. We are here to secure the data, and free the prisoners." K'Tag spoke quietly to keep the silence. He didn't want to alarm the Mulluran of his position.
"If they allowed themselves to be captured they deserve to die." One of the other Klingons spoke up.
"Today is not a good day to die, understand. We will split up--Kanal you take these two with you, and I will go alone. I work better that way, Let's go."
Mulluran Vessel, January 5, 2385....
As K'Tag rounded a corner he ran into a Mulluran, K'Tag used his Bat'leth and gutted the soldier where he stood. He heard a blast and fell to the floor--he had been shot! He quickly hid under a large crate and when the soldier came to collect his prize, K'Tag tripped him and the Mulluran soldier fell to the ground. K'Tag than gutted him the same as he had gutted the previous Mulluran.
[K'Tag to Vor'Cha Bird of Prey] There was no response. K'Tag quickly jumped up and ran to the computer console, he scanned only to find the remains of a Klingon vessel, he saw no survivors.
[K'Tag to Kanal]
[Kanal here]
[Our transport has been destroyed. There is no sign of survivors]
[I understand. It was a good day to die. We must take this ship! It is our only chance of surviving!] Kanal didn't want to intrude on his captain, but was very willing to give his opinions.
[I will make my way to the prisoners and than to the bridge, you and your team head towards engineering. It will be our fall back area, understand?]
[Understood. Kanal out.]
K'Tag slithered down the corridors and into the brig. As he stepped in he noticed only one guard with his back towards K'Tag. K'Tag drew his small dagger and threw it at the guard. It hit him in the back and the guard immediately fell to the ground beside the computer console.
"Is everyone okay?" K'Tag glanced in the cell to see a Starfleet ensign, two Klingon women, a Klingon child and an adult male Klingon.
"Are you here to save us?" asked the young boy
"Yes, I am. What is your name?" K'Tag asked as he looked around to see if any other guards were planning on surprising him.
"My name is K'mesh." The young boy said.
"Can everyone walk?" K'Tag asked. Since they had no medical treatment available it was somewhat of a pointless question.
"Yes, everyone is mobile," the Starfleet ensign answered.
"Let's go. We are going to take the bridge and gain control of this vessel." The two women looked somewhat hesitant, but followed K'Tag.
As the six left the room, the male Klingon grabbed the Mulluran's rifle and blasted the guard once, to make sure he wasn't going anywhere.
The six gathered outside of the door to the bridge. K'Tag spoke quietly as he gave the battle plan.
"We want to leave the captain alive, so we will have some ability to negotiate." K'Tag now spoke more like a Starfleet officer than a Klingon warrior.
As they entered onto the bridge they found only three officers operating the vessel, the Klingon shot at them and eliminated all but one. K'Tag approached the one still remaining and began to question him.
"Where is everyone?" K'Tag snarled as he asked.
"They are meeting on deck three." The Mulluran was shaking as he answered.
"Why are they meeting there?" K'Tag was trying to scare the answer out of him, so he got close to him when he spoke.
"They are meeting with a Romulan operative." As the Mulluran finished his last word, the Klingon carrying the rifle shot him, hitting him in the back.
"Why did you do that?" K'Tag now questioning the older Klingon male.
"I didn't like his tone."
[Kanal to K'Tag--I have secured engineering!]
[K'Tag here. Lock all doors throughout the ship, and set a forcefield around deck three]
[I understand, it's like a giant cage]
[K'Tag out]
The Starfleet ensign took a seat at the helm.
"Set course for Starbase 901, warp 9." K'Tag spoke in a harsh tone. Everyone found a seat and sat down.
SB 901, January 6, 2385....
The command deck was pretty quiet. Captain Mallory was enjoying the quiet of her office.
[Colonel Tarik to Captain Mallory]
"Go ahead, Tarik."
[We have a Mulluran vessel approaching the station. They are not in hailing range yet, but they are closing fast]
"Red alert all hands--I'm on my way," Captain Mallory said as a feeling of apprehension began to rise within her. The last thing she wanted was another run-in with the Mullurans.
Captain Mallory walked onto the command deck and looked around, as the red lights flashed to give warning to everyone aboard the station to return to their quarters. Colonel Tarik, Cadet N'Garen, and Lt. O'Malley were on deck.
[Starbase 901, this is Lt. K'Tag. I have captured this vessel, and all members aboard. Captain, Command was right. The Mullurans are attempting a treaty with the Romulans. I caught them in the act.]
"This is Captain Mallory. Would you care to explain this, K'Tag?"
[I have a Romulan on board who was meeting with the Mullurans during our attack. Requesting permission to dock.]
"You're cleared for docking at Bay 2. Colonel, you've got the detail."
"Aye, Captain." Tarik opened a comm circuit. "Hartman, detail two squads. Have them meet me at Docking Bay 2 in five minutes," he said, then left the command deck.
As the ship docked two more vessels came into view.
"Captain we are being hailed by two pirate vessels entering the system."
"On screen" Captain Mallory responded quickly. "This is Captain Mallory of the Federation Starbase 901."
[You have taken one of our ships] the captain of the lead vessel, a mangy-looking Nausicaan, replied.
"Your ship is now in our custody, and was brought in under a Klingon prize crew. Therefore your discussion must take place with the Klingon Empire." The Nausicaan looked somewhat stricken, then broke the signal. The pirate vessels broke off and left the system rather hurriedly.
[Captain, this is Tarik]
"Go ahead, Colonel."
[We have captured 27 Mullurans and 3 Romulans] Tarik said, with a tone of some surprise in his voice. He wasn't expecting a ship full of Mullurans coming in today.
[K'Tag to Captain Mallory, are you going to welcome me back?]
"That would be an understatement," replied Captain Mallory as she plopped into her chair.
