"Throughout the last week, we
have found nothing but empty space... No signs of life, not even any spatial
anomalies. Heck, not even a great deal of space dust! Nine days ago, we left
the USS Leviathans position to search for allies or at least someone who may
know anything about the planet known as 'Moria'. As of yet, nothing has been
found. We remain hopeful however, and will continue searching for five days
longer. Tension among the crew is increasing, being this far away from home
cannot be easy on them, and now with this endless void of empty space, there
is nothing to do around here. We have no holodeck and no means of setting one
up and the crew have become short tempered and often violent. Yesterday involved
an incident between Lieutenant McQueen and Benosk. From what the two of them
have told me, McQueen became frustrated when Benosk didn't calibrate the long
range sensors properly and attacked him. I have since confined Lieutenant McQueen
to quarters. I can't help but think of the USS Voyager, lost in the Delta quadrant...
How did Captain Janeway manage to keep such a firm control of her crew? and
how did she herself keep up any hope of getting home?
Computer, end log" Ryan got up from his chair and stepped onto the bridge.
"Anything Commander?" he asked
"Nothing sir, no sign of anything for the next 20 light years."
"This is ridiculous, there must be something here?"
"It would seem that is not the case sir."
"Can you not even sense any space dwelling life forms."
"No captain"
"hmm, bring up a starchart of the space we have charted so far in this region." The chart appeared on the screen.
"What's AR - 234?"
"That's the slight subspace disturbance we picked up 2 days ago."
"Commander, take us back there"
"Captain?"
"Its a hunch Commander, If I'm right, we may find something there that we missed if we look more closely."
"Ok then Captain, but don't
complain when we don't find anything."
