Tyran was snuggled up with Dinara in his quarters on the sofa. They were working
out the guest list for the wedding.
"Well we have to invite the Captain" said Dinara.
"Of course, theres the new doctor.. whats his name?"
"Will Hancock?"
"Yeah, thats him. What do you think? He's a senior officer, we'll be working closely with him in the future. It may be a good idea to ask him. And his friend from security, Lieutenant O'Neil."
"Ok, they could go on the list."
"Have you asked anyone to be your reneck yet?"
"I asked Karissa, she said ok"
"So you've patched things up with her now?"
"Yeah, we had a little chat. Everything's ok now"
"Thats good" replied Tyran kissing her on the forehead. "I'm glad you two sorted things out."
"Me too, she's a really nice person. Pitty she's feeling a bit down at the moment."
"She is?"
"Yeah, she won't talk about it, but I dunno... She just doesn't seem like the same happy person she was when I first met her."
Tyrans mind now set in motion quickly came to the assumption that she may be the one for the Captains happiness that morning on the bridge.
"You know, the Captain has been behaving pretty oddly recently. Has he been to see you about anything?"
"No, he hasn't. Only the chief counsellor should attend to the Captain. And anyway, you know even if I did I couldn't talk about that to you... Patient - Doctor confidentiality."
"Of course, I'm sorry. It's just that I just put two and two together and just came up with the idea that perhaps there's something going on between her and the Captain."
"Ohh my God do you think so!?" shouted Dinara quickly jumping away from the Sofa and sitting on the table facing Tyran. "Why do you think that?" There was nothing Dinara loved more than gossip, apart frommaybe Tyran, but even then it was pretty close.
"Well, one morning, he and Karissa came onto the bridge togther. Both a bit late for duty. The Captain, was so cheerful he even said good morning to the brodge crew."
"Maybe he was just being friendly?"
"I don't think so... I've spent too many nights with you to know when someone has had a good night" smiled Tyran devilishely.
Dinara blushed slightly. "So why do you think It's Karissa that spent the night with him."
"Well, I don't know if anyone else noticed it. Maybe it was because I was standing behind them for a lot of the day, I saw more than anyone else, but they definately seemed far better aquainted than the day before. But the next day, they didn't say a word to each other when Karissa eventually got to the bridge. As soon as she did, the Captain left for his ready rooom and didn't come out till after I was off duty. The days following that, I haven't seen either of them together on the bridge for more than five minutes at a time, and both of them seem moody and irratable."
"I can see why you think that, but do you really think that somethign is going on?"
"I can't see that it could be anything else."
"I'll speak to Karissa when I see her next."
"No, no! Don't do that, We shouldn't go round showing that we know. I'm sure they would want to keep this a secret. Remember that captains having relationships with their crew members is frowned on by starfleet. The Captain wouldn't want anyone to know."
"Well, maybe I'll speak to Karissa at some point as a friend. Ask her if she needs to talk about anything."
"That may be a good idea, anyway, lets get back to or wedding for now"
Dinara climbed back over to the sofa
and carried on with the arrangements.
