The two Federation officers, were escorted to the Rebel Camp, a 5 hour walk to the west, in the Mountains. By the time they reached the camp it was Dark, and camp fires were lighting up the day. Human looking men and women sat around the fires, and some were what appeared to be guard duty. The air became cooler. It was around 53 degrees.

"You are the ones that answered my grandfather's distress call?" A voice said from the darkness. The person stepped forward to reveal a man in his late 30's standing around 6 foot.

Sean took a deep breath and exhaled seeing his warm breath meeting the cool night Air. "Yes, Lieutenant Sean O'Neal."

William step forwarded, and introduced himself. "Doctor Hancock."

Sean asked the question, he already knew the answer to."Your human?"

"Yes, General Baker, leader of the Liberation Army." The General said pointing towards a seat. Sean took a seat, and waited for the answer to be expanded.

"General please explain." O'Neal pleaded. The feeling of regret and sickness from killing his first person, was rather present.

"My Grandfather Lucas Baker was leader of a group of Colonist heading to Morina III. When our ship was attacked by the Floran fleet. He managed to send a distress call, out, and get the ship to land in the mountains.

Upon landing the Florans captured us, and used us to mine the dieturim, and Kelvan. We were slaves, for 56 years. When we mined the majority of the Dieturim. We were left in a police state, and left to mine the kelvenite."

Sean leaned forward to listen better. He looked at Baker, and then a bunch of rules and regulations. There were many ideas flowing through Sean's head.

"General, I have to check this all out on my shuttle. Did you know that you traveled 123 light years from earth. And that it's 2384. "Sean rubbed his forehead, he was starting to get a headache."

"Please stay the night, and my men will escort you to the shuttle craft." Baker said motioning for a lady to bring a plate of food.

Sean ate the food and kept quite, the recent death he caused was still in his head. His stomach felt sick, so he put his food down. William leaned towards Sean and made a comment.

"You think these people are telling the truth?"

"Sean tapped his comm badge."Shuttle Bowen. Authorization, Tango 1 Charlie alpha, O'Neal. The code would cause the Shuttles computer to be responsive.

"Computer Was there a Lucas Baker, that left with a group of Colonist?"

[Yes Lucas Baker, retired Sargent Major Federation Marine Corps. Left on April 19, 2292 for a colony.]

"It's true Sean."William replied.

"Ok, keep this quiet. I need to think. In a situation like this I am in charge." Sean said giving a firm look towards Hancock.

"Come on Sean, their Federation Citizens, we have to defend their lives, and home."William said seeming over enthusiastic.

"What, so I can kill people!! Like today when I blew that guys brains out all over me." Sean stood up and walked off to a open area, where the shape of three big rocks where. He leaned up against one and stared up at the stars.

Stars were plentiful, and there were many in the night sky. Some shooting stars passed by. Sean took a deep breath and looked up, and his thoughts went back to killing that Colonel.

* Now what? If I obey my oath more people die, and if I don't, I face a court martial, and people die. Any way he looked at people died.* Sean thought to himself. The night then grew colder.

Sean knew he had to do what was right. And that was to help these Rebels. The Rebels were right to fight, according to their leader, they were slaves. Just like the Bajorans. Sean was unsure, if he would be commended, or forced out of Star Fleet. He told himself it was right.
