"Home Sweet Home"

Author: Lieutenant Sean O'Neal
Date: May 30, 2384
Location: Crew Quarters / Security Office

Sean was asleep in his quarters, and snoring rather loud. He had been partying last night and fell asleep, actually passed out only 5 hours ago. Also in his quarters was Lieutenant Hancock.

<<<The time is 0625 hours>>> The automated alarm went off causing Sean to open his eyes and give out a moan. The lights were still on, and he had passed out between the living room and bedroom. He quickly sat up and yawned.

Over by the couch was Lieutenant Hancock, asleep still on the couch. He had managed to pass out on the couch, unlike his friend.

Lieutenant Hancock, and Lieutenant O'Neal seemed to be unlikely friends, in fact O'Neal tolerated Doctor Hancock. However the two had changed and they seemed to enjoy each other's company.

Damn if I am up, that ugly Englishmen should be too. Sean thought to himself, as his head pounded with a killer headache. "Hey Will, get up, it's damn near 0630 hours, you've got duty at 0730 hours."

Will opened his eyes, then sat up, and looked over at Sean, who was leaning up against a wall. "Sorry, chap. But looks like we both need to get on going." Will said standing up slowly.

"Yeah, I've got to be in the office around 0900 hours. Then a report is due to the Captain. Who the bloody hell thought that a Chief Of Security would have to submit daily reports," Sean said standing up and then headed towards the Sonic shower.

The warm shower felt good as Sean stood in the stream. He must of stood there for at least 25 minutes. He then realized he had to get moving faster. After his shower, Sean put on a new uniform, and placed his gold pip on.

A sense of satisfaction, came over him. He felt a little older. He looked in the mirror, and fingered his beard. He grew it thinking maybe he would look older with it. He believed he was cursed with a baby face and hated that.

The Security office was rather quiet with only one person, Petty Officer Wilson. Wilson was a human male, 24 years of age, and 6 years of service. "Morning, Lieutenant." Wilson said, standing up as the Lieutenant walked in.

"Morning Wilson. You can leave, if everything is quiet." Sean said heading for the desk. Wilson walked out and O'Neal took a seat at the desk, and picked up a PADD. The PADD was a report from around 0500 hours, and everything was quiet.

That was how O'Neal, liked it. He'd had enough excitement for a while.
