Slight of build and not very muscular, he is still an excellent security officer.

Background

Janos didn't have a happy childhood when he was seven years old his mother and father were killed when their shuttle exploded in orbit of Earth. With no living relatives, Janos was placed in an orphanage, where after nearly a year he was adopted by a strict retired Admiral.

When Janos was seventeen he left his home and applied for Starfleet academy and was accepted with high praise. Janos did a successful four years at the academy, the only thing he failed was alien languages.

He was assigned to the USS Saturn where he served as a junior tactical officer until in 2383 the ship was invaded by the Romulan Tal Shiar. They were searching for a rogue Romulan intelligence officer who they thought had been picked up by the Saturn. During the crossfire in one of the corridor of the ship, Janos was hit in the chest by a disruptor. He awoke back on Earth at Starfleet Medical complex. He was later to discover that he had been immediately placed into stasis and after the Saturn returned to Earth four weeks later, Janos had been fitted with an artificial lung.

Whilst he recovered from the major operation and recuperated, he was reassigned to Starfleet Academy where he taught starship tactical systems for a year. During this time, he also retook alien languages and an advanced course in hand-to-hand combat. After he was given a clean bill of health, he requested a transfer back onto a starship, but as a security officer. He was assigned to the USS Taurus, a refitted New Orleans class vessel.

2375 - 2379	Starfleet Academy.
2379 - 2383	USS Saturn (Romulan Border) Assigned as Tactical officer. Injured in 2383 during an attack by the Romulan Tal Shiar.
2383	Starfleet Medical Transferred back to Earth for treatment and recuperation.
2384 - 2385	Starfleet Academy Assigned as tutor assistant. Starship Tactical Systems.
2385 -	USS Taurus Assigned as Security officer.

Personal

Janos can be a little heartless and strict at times. This was from being brought up by a strict retired Admiral, when his parents were killed. However, he is always ready to have a good laugh now and then and when not under pressure he is quite friendly.

Special Abilities

Janos has an artificial lung, which was implanted after he was hit in the chest during an attack on the USS Saturn, the ship he was serving on. This has given Janos a larger than average lung capacity, allowing him to breathe for short periods in a complete vacuum and underwater.

Hobbies

Janos in his spare time likes to read, draw and paint.
