Private First Class Garet Jax
July 15, 2385
Holodeck Three

The hairpins of Garet's rifle-scope moved slowly, right, and then left. His finger slowly began to squeeze the trigger as he felt his target getting closer. Finally as his hairpins connected right where he wanted it the bullet was propelled at his prey hitting it right in the head. Another head shot.

Garet had been spending the last few hours in a re-enactment of World War Two, a battle that had taken place roughly 400 years before now. This battle was his favourite, he was deep in the German lines, hidden in a barnyard covering himself with hay. He had been taking out officers and riflemen all day and had even bagged a general.

Garet felt hungry so he decided it was time to go to mess hall. "Computer, end program."

Immediately the room began to fade and he walked out and proceeded to mess hall. He was almost there when he saw Rachel running towards him, tears in her eyes.

"Are you alright ? What's happened ?" He asked as she flew into his arms.

"It's Jordan, they've re-assigned him, he left the Taurus this morning." Rachel exclaimed.

"Are you serious ?" Garet asked surprised that he hadn't been told earlier.

"Yes, he almost didn't say goodbye, he was under strict orders to leave without questioning but I caught him just before he left. He wasn't able to tell me where he was going or if he was coming back. He simply looked at me with a depressed face and said 'Good-bye'." Rachel announced, almost breaking out in tears.

"I can't believe it and does anyone else know about where he went ?" Garet asked, suddenly suspicious and sad at the same time.

"No, I asked around but nobody else had even known he left yet. All I know is he's on some top-secret mission that's classified to almost everyone on the ship." Rachel stated.

"I'm sorry, I know how close you two were. I'm still here, for whatever that's worth." Garet replied.

Rachel tried to grin but she just continued to sob into Garet's shoulder. Garet knew something was up but now wasn't the time to ask questions, he just hoped that wherever Jordan went he would be safe, and one day return.
