The Good, The Bad and The Mission

"Right so I have the gist of the mission. Were taking the Taurus to look for some rogue Jem'Hadar and I take it I'll be needed to find them." Lieutenant James Wright said to the Catian female sitting opposite him in the Bulls Head, the equivalent of the Ten Forward of the Enterprise-D. She nodded, but did not reply, instead sipped her blue-yellow drink that James did not like the look of.

When she finished sipping her head, she spoke, "We had better get to the Bridge. I don't want to be late for Captain Taybar."

"Me neither. Lets go." He said as he stood up.

Outside the Bulls Head, they walked to the end of the corridor and headed for the nearest turbolift. Neither of them spoke, however James kept coughing. Finally J'Ross spoke up after a particularly loud cough,

"Are you alright ? Shouldn't see Doctor Kahfre ?"

"I'll survive. I did the Dominion War. I think a cough won't kill me." He said, covering his hand as another cough erupted from his mouth. J'Ross laughed at his comment, but it was cut short after James added an afterthought "Besides I just don't trust Doctor's."

Five minutes later and the turbolift doors parted and out-stepped James and J'ross.

"Lieutenant James Wright, reporting for duty Captain."

"M'eko J'ross reporting for duty as ordered."

Captain Taybar rose from her chair and turned around, in a Kathryn Janeway type fashion she smiled at the two officers, "Welcome to the Bridge, Lieutenant Wright. I take it you are liking what you see ?"

James smiled and answered sarcastically, "Do you mean you or the ship because both are very attractive."

Taybar blushed slightly. "Flirting is not encouraged Mister Wright. Take you station."

"I beg your pardon Captain." He said sarcastically as he walked to his station. When he saw it, he was taken aback, there were many buttons and a small screen with the standard Starfleet insignia and the USS Taurus NCC-79031. Below it were the words 'Starfleet Intelligence access portal' and the words. 'Please enter primary access codes.' flashing on the screen.

James entered his Starfleet command code and watched as the screen changed. Within a few seconds, the more familiar Starfleet Intelligence insignia appeared on the screen, with the message, 'Please enter secondary command codes'.

For a second, James couldn't remember his SI command codes, then they came back to him and he typed them into the console.

[Primary access granted. Starfleet Intelligence network.] The console announced softly.

The screen changed once more to show a number of options. It also had his Starfleet Intel ID and his name. He looked at the options and chose the 'Search' section.

[Please enter Search Criteria.] The computer replied.

James thought about the mission and typed in the words "Current Jem'Hadar activities in the Gamma Quadrant." A list came up, impossibly long and would take a long time for him to trawl through them all.

"Like what you see." Aki had appeared leaning over the console, she had gotten there very quickly and James had not seen her.

"Love it." He said, casually browsing the search list and selecting a log at random.

Captain Taybar walked away from the console and James, heading for her ready room.

*I'll need to narrow this list down.* He thought to himself. *But how ?*
