Captain Aki Taybar
July 22, 2385
USS Taurus : Captain's Ready Room

Captain Taybar sat in her ready room thinking deeply. She had come to a decision and one she hoped she wouldn't regret. She'd read all the reports on the Dominion Vorta and the Jem'Hadar under her command during their 'stay' on the Taurus before she arrived, from Lieutenant McQueen, Lieutenant J'ross and Commander Buford. Although they hadn't caused any trouble on the ship, there was the matter of the communications with the Dominion military and the broken trust.

The chimes to her door broke her away from her thoughts and she announced. "Enter."

Lieutenant McQueen stood at the door, beside the Vorta Sabá, with two more security officers stood behind them. Logan and Sabá stepped into the room, leaving the two security officers outside in the corridor. Aki was well aware that there were two more security officers behind the other door, which lead to the Bridge and at least four more on standby in the briefing room.

"Please Sabá, take a seat." Aki offered. "I have something I need to discuss with you."

The Vorta, unaware of what was about to happen took a seat opposite the Captain, whilst Logan stood a few metres back.

"There's no easy way to say this…" Aki started. "…but it has come to my attention that the fact that there were two Dominion battleships here before we arrived was no coincidence. Lieutenant McQueen has uncovered several messages to the military base that borders this sector of space, messages that you sent."

"These Jem'Hadar traitors must be eliminated at any cost." Sabá announced firmly. "Your Federation would have them imprisoned, where as we would have them executed. The Federation is soft on its enemies…."

"But we won the Dominion war." Aki interrupted. "For all of the Dominion's might, it was one peaceful gesture that ended the war. These rogue Jem'Hadar may well be a threat to both our governments, but killing them all will not help us find the missing scientists."

"These Jem'Hadar must die." Sabá repeated.

"Sabá, you and your Jem'Hadar elite guard were guests on this ship." Aki stated. "Guests I might add, who were rescued from certain death at the hands of these rogues. We allowed you to remain onboard and participate in searching for the missing scientists and their kidnappers. We were supposed to be co-operating with each other, helping each other to discover the truth."

"These Jem'Hadar are traitors to the Dominion…" Sabá repeated once more."…they must be eradicated."

"Maybe you don't fully realise how your actions have effected this search." Aki suggested. "Your government has just lost a battleship with nearly two thousand lives and had a second vessel almost destroyed too."

"Those Jem'Hadar died for the Dominion." Sabá announced. "They should be honoured to be killed whilst fighting our enemies."

"Let's not forget that we are pretty sure that there was at least one traitor on the battleship that was destroyed." Aki stated. "And they were picked up by the rogue ship, maybe if you hadn't alerted your forces to our destination, those Jem'Hadar and that battleship would have still been in service."

Sabá was silent for once, the realisation that she may have inadvertently had a hand in the death of so many shocking her to the core.

"I'm afraid I have no other choice than to ask you to leave my ship." Aki stated firmly. "As soon as the battleship that's coming to recover your damaged ship arrives, I would like you and your elite guard to leave."

"But you need our help." Sabá protested. "You will never find these rogue Jem'Hadar without the Dominion's help."

"We'll have a good try." Aki replied. "From the reports that I have read, you haven't offered us one piece of evidence that could lead us to finding our missing scientist. Yet this very morning, my Intelligence officer has reported to me that he has a lead on the rogue Jem'Hadar and a possible location of their next attack."

Sabá looked shocked once again. She suddenly realised that this new Captain was serious about finding these missing scientists and would no be 'fobbed off' with old reports.

"I will respect your wishes." Sabá announced. "But I think you are making a grave mistake in not working with the Dominion."

"I am afraid it is you who has made the mistake by not co-operating and sharing information with us." Aki replied. "Mister Logan, will you have our guest taken to the cargo bay, I'll inform you when the Dominion vessel arrives."

Logan stepped forward and waited for Sabá to rise from her seat. She rose with an air of superiority, but the way she walked back across the room showed that she had been defeated. Logan opened the doors and the two security guards took up a stance behind them.

*That was easier than I was expecting.* She thought as she sat back in her chair and relaxed.

Long-range sensors had already picked up a vessel approaching Bopak III and in an hour or so, Sabá and the Jem'Hadar would be finally off her ship. Which made her feel much easier. Although she had not participated in the Dominion war, her symbiont and its previous host had. She felt the way Captain Siz Taybar had felt during the war, how much death and destruction he had witnessed.
