Jenara Chee

Background

Born on Tanzaria on August 28, 2254, Jenara Shylo Tomme. Her parents were killed along with her older brother and sister during an unprovoked attack by unknown raiders where two-thirds of the population were killed. These unknown raiders were later to be identified as the Eriarti. Jenara was the only one to survive in her family. She was the lucky one, so she was told, though had never felt that way. Many of the survivors were rescued and treated by Starfleet. She was one of them. She taken in by a sweet couple, Paul and Jennifer Glacier, on Earth with Tabitha, a daughter of their own. Jenara and Tabitha got along very well. Jenara was also in counseling for many years to help her through the trauma of losing her family in such a horrible manner. It helped being in a loving family again.

When she finally found some peace, she joined Starfleet. She excelled in science and covert operations. Because of her special abilities as a Tanzaran, such as the ability to shape-shift at will, unless pregnant, and being telepathic and empathic, she could and can get in and out of almost any situation.

Over her lifetime Jenara has studied many cultures and languages. She had never had a truly serious romance until recently. Most men were put off by her age and abilities.

She has served on three ships other than her current one. The USS Albion, the USS Forester, and the USS Virgo, serving as a Science Officer aboard the Albion and, then, once trouble started with the Dominion, assigned to perform covert operations aboard the Forester which is her strong point anyway. In December 2382, Jenara was assigned a position on the USS Virgo. In March 2383, she was promoted to Chief Science Officer by Captain Maruu. In March of 2383, after a supposed transporter accident, she was found to be pregnant. Later it was discovered that her pregnancy had been manipulated by the Eriarti. She chose to have the baby and continued the pregnancy. On April 23, 2383, Jenara was promoted to full Lieutenant for her valor in a campaign led by Captain Maruu on Xenon III.

Shortly thereafter, she became romantically involved with Major Johnny Chee. He didn't care that she was pregnant and loved her for who she was. On October 1, 2383, they were married. Jenara, then, adopted the last name Chee. Due to a time loop, Jenara's daughter Adrianna Dyani wasn't born until March 2, 2384. Johnny has taken her as his own.

Jenara has now accepted a position aboard the USS Hornet as Chief Science Officer.
