"Lieutenant get that last fighter" called Osagawa
"I can't get a lock established Captain" responded Nige
"Well then for god sake shoot manually, we can't let the Ronin be taken down!"
"Aye sir" Nige fired a few shots missing completely but then he managed to hit the left impulse engine and bring the ship to a stop. He then aquired a lock and fired a single torpedo at thte stationary fighter.
"Enemy destroyed sir" called Nige
"Nice shooting" responded Osagawa "Open a channel to the Ronin"
"Channel open"
"USS Ronin, this is Captain Osagawa do you need assistance?" A staticky response slowly filtered through,
[This is Commander Benjamin Heim of the Ronin..... We need..... time to get our shields and..... weapons back on line]
"acknowledged commander. I'm sending a runabout to tractor you to that nebula for you to make repairs"
[..... Thank you Captain...... your.... help is very much appreciated.....]
"Lieutenant Tyran, take the Mekong and Lieutenant Benson, they may need some help repairing the ship, and get them to that nebula."
"Aye sir, Lieutenant Benson meet me in shuttle bay 1" said Nige tapping his comm badge
"What is it Nige?" asked Benson as he stepped onboard the Mekong
"We've been ordered to tractor the Ronin to that nebula nearby and assist them with repairs."
"Ok then, but aren't we risking it a bit, taking a runabout into the middle of a battlefield?"
"Not at all, trust me I piloted this ship in the Kelvan war and they're a lot tougher than you think." said Nige with a smile "Bridge this is Mekong ready for launch"
[you are cleared to leave Lieutenant] With that Nige tapped a few buttons and took the runabout out through the containment field and into space.
"Setting a course for the Ronin now"
"Nige, there are two decrum torpedoes heading for the Ronin"
"Lay in an intercept course and take them out, I'll contact the Ronin"
"Yes sir"
"USS Ronin This is Lieutenant Nige Tyran of the runabout Mekong. I've been sent by the Knight to assist you"
[...... Tyran...... accepted........ come to bearing....... 232 mark 432.........]
"Ronin you're breaking up can you repeat that last message?"

"Damn! Bill, how are those torpedoes coming?"
"We're right on top of them sir, firing phasers. Targets destroyed"
"Well done"
"Lets get to that nebula as quickly as possible. Lock a tractor beam on the Ronin and pull her in"
"Yes sir"
Later..... in the nebula....... Nige and Bill beam over to main engineering on the Ronin Before them they see a mess of fallen bulk heads, shattered consoles and blown out conduits. In addition to that was the blood scattered over certain parts of the deck where crewmembers had been caught with bits of shrapnel. Nige looked around to find Commander Heim and recognised that he was the same officer as he had spoken to on DS9.
"Commander Heim, its an honour to meet you again"
"Welcome to whats left of the Ronin gentleman" he looked at Benson "Are you an engineer?"
"Yes sir"
"Then go over and report to Lieutenant McQueen. I'm sure he could use your help."
"Aye sir." Heim turned back to Nige
"Well Lieutenant, I thank you for towing us to this nebula. You have probably saved our lives"
"Its not a problem sir. Are you alright Commander?" Nige asked looking at the wound on Heim's head. It seemed to be causing him a lot of pain.
"I sense you are preoccupied with something Lieutenant. Is there anything you want to get of your chest before we get to work?" Nige gave him a curious look,
"I'm a Betazoid Lieutenant, I know something is wrong"
"It's just my girl friend sir, shes still on the Knight and I'm just worried that something may happen to her"
"I'm sure she'll be fine Lieutenant. Now I need to get to work on a new battle plan for when we get back into the battle"
"Maybe I could be of assistance sir, I am chief security officer of the Knight"
"Any suggestions would be welcome Mr. Tyran"
