Nige and Dinara stepped onto the bridge. The time had come to tell Captain Tumock what had happened. Carter was sitting in the command chair, "Where’s Tumock?" enquired Nige.
"In his ready room. Are you alright Commander? You look a bit shaken up."
"I'll be fine thanks." replied Nige. Dinara rang the chime and Tumock promptly invited them in.
"What can I do for you two?" enquired Tumock.
"Go on Nige" said Dinara taking a step back
"Commander?" asked Tumock with a raised eyebrow
"May I sit down Captain?"
"Of course" replied Tumock indicating to the chair.
"It's about the Protectors..."
"Go on"
"Well, Id been having some hallucinations recently and they’re becoming quite dangerous. Yesterday I knocked Benson over in engineering and last night I almost vaporised my cat!"
"And what’s causing these hallucinations?"
"Fear basically Captain."
"Fear? of what?"
"May I use the computer?" asked Nige
"Go ahead". Nige spun it round on the desk and accessed 'death' file. Tumock read through it in dismay. Do you know if Kira Markos received a file like this before he left for the Ronin?"
"I have no idea. I'll have a look now" said Nige accessing Doctor Kiras files. "Yeah, here it is, exactly the same as mine."
"Well, there is no immediate danger, but next time they come aboard this ship, if they do, then we'll be ready for them! I'll also send a message to the Ronin to let their Captain know what they might be in for. Dismissed!"
Nige and Dinara left the ready room. "Now that wasn't so bad now was it?"
"I guess not, but I just feel so helpless sitting here waiting for it to happen. What if it gets me Dinara?"
"It won't get you Nige, Tumock won't let that happen."
"Whats to say it wont get Tumock? After all, last time it marched onto the bridge and killed Captain Osagawa...."
