Peter Drake is son of the deceased Jenna and Gabriel Drake. Peter grew up originally on Earth, and then moved with his family to Lovell City at the age of six. Peter's dad Gabriel, a former Starfleet enlistedman, retired after his four year tour of duty to become a private buisnessman.
The business was that of illegal shuttle racing. Although he didn't partake
in the actual race, he did own a shop that supplied parts to the vehicles.
In some cases, the parts were illegal and brought the vessel up past military
grade.
The reality of this job finally caught up with him when an enraged customer, after loosing a race, blamed Gabriel for the loss and killed him and Jenna, who was also in the store at the time.
Peter went to live with his Aunt and Uncle after the horrendous event, and managed to just get through High School. He was accepted to the Academy, but only attended for two years after dropping out. After finding out what Gabriel had been doing for a living, Peter wanted to make something of his life. Not wanting to return to Starfleet and follow in the footsteps of his father, he enlisted with the Starfleet Marine Corps.
Peter is friendly, and apparently outgoing in a crowd, but by himself he is usually quiet and reserved. Peter usually keeps to himself, and doesn't bother other people. He is loyal to the Corps, and readily believes in its cause to make the Federation safe for all people.
Peter has an uncanny mechanical ability passed down from his late father.
He is talented at repairing many things ranging from weapons to replicators
to starships themselves.
He doesn't know where or how, but Peter has an uncanny sixth sense to danger. He calls it a "gut feeling," even though his tested esper ratings are above normal.
Peter enjoys making odd contraptions out of spare parts he finds laying around. He also enjoys a good game of pool.
