Bajoran
Nori Dana is a Bajoran with a photographic memory. She is five feet eight inches tall and weighs 102 pounds. She has light blue eyes with long blond hair. She is a Starfleet Academy graduate, graduate in science full courses in Science One, Two, and Three. She graduated top of the class. She is also a graduate in Security and took full courses of Criminal Justice, Federation Intergalatic Laws, and Bi-Laws, Federation Integration Courses. Again, she graduated top of the class. Nori is a graduate in Medicine full courses in Herbal Medicine and Earth Medicine plus full courses in minor and major first aid.
She was born in the Dahkur Province on Bajor. Her parents and siblings are unknown. She knows how to speak Bajoran, Cardassian, English, and Klingon. She loves to play a mean game of Bajoran springball. She enjoys time alone to think and going for long walks in the woods. She is very much into hiking, swimming, aerobics, and has dreamed of space travel. She also loves making new friends. Young Nori faced the same terrifying and brutal life faced by many of her Bajoran brethren; her father was killed fighting in the Resistance while her mother, an artist, died of malnutrition in the Singha Refugee Camp when Nori was three. All they had to play in the camp growing up was Bajoran springball, but she had some crafts such as finger painting at age four in the camp school. The Bajoran caste system survived the Occupation.
At the age of only five, Nori was taken away from her friends never to be seen again, just one year before the end of the Occupation. For Nori, killing became a second nature, and she never thought twice about it. For her, emotions are always close to the surface. You will know instantly if you are not favored by Nori. Nori loves to meet new people, making new friends, but she hates with a passion any person who is not careful of others' feelings, and she doesn't much care for pushy people. She loves a good party and will pretty much will go out of her way for a friend. Unfortunately, cross her and may your gods protect you, for she will gut you where you stand, picturing you as a hated Cardassian. Advance with caution; she will not be pushed and will stand her ground to the death. Nori joined the Federation at a yound age.
Unlike most Bajorans, when joining the Federation, Nori changed her name around: from the Bajoran last-name-first, to the Terran first-name-first form.
When she was assigned to the USS Virgo, Nori was only 18 years old. Her
birthday is on April 5. On October 25, 2382, Nori was promoted to Lieutenant
Commander by Captain Stephen Maruu. On April 23, 2383, Lt. Commander Dana
Nori became Lt. Commander Dana Maruu after marrying her Commanding Officer,
Captain Stephen Maruu on Xenon III.
