Tanzaran (alternate universe)
Katianna Elise Nadira came to this reality from an alternate one by way
of a formidable interdimentional explosion caused by the destruction of
the Bajoran Orb of Creation. She, Lt. Commander Jovan Kalimar, and an
extremely advanced Federation vessel, the USS Seth, were sucked into the
explosion and transported to this reality.
Nadira's mother was Traylina Vey Nadira, a deceased Tanzaran. Her father
was Joshua Trevan Nadira, Tanzaran/Human Hybrid also deceased. Her twin
brother, Troy Adenatar Nadira is a doctor stationed on Deep Space Seven
in the alternate reality. Nadira was one of triplets. She has a sister
that was given to an aunt who couldn't have children. It was a common
practice among families that had that problem where one could have many
children and the other could have none. Her sister is Vivianna Korinthos,
also living in the alternate reality. Nadira once married with Prince
Auturus Pentragon who is now also deceased. She had one child who survived
the destruction of the Aquitania named Laurissa Artemis Pentragon. She
is currently living on her home in Tanzaria as per her mother's request
due to the war she was about to embark on.
Nadira, being a Tanzaran, is a shape shifter. When she is in her usual
state, she is tall and willowy, but athletic. Her hair is short and reaches
her shoulders. One outstanding feature is a birthmark on her left lower
jaw that looks like a twelve-pointed star. It's a strawberry color. Off
duty, she will usually wear sleek pant outfits, though she does wear an
occasional dress. Her eyes are almond-shaped, but rather large. They enhance
her appearance. She is beautiful and doesn't look a day over thirty. She's
also empathic and slightly telepathic.
Nadira is good humored and serious about her job. She gets along well
with most and loves children and animals. She is generally a happy person.
She was very close to her twin brother, though they used to hardly ever
see each other. Same with her sister and cousin. But she is a bit mercurial.
She can change like the wind in her emotions, especially when she needs
to. She's always willing to help others and though she doesn't really
care for fighting, she can kill if necessary. She can drink heavily when
she chooses, but it can lessen her judgement and cause some pretty funny
consequences, as she tries keeping different shapes if asked. But she
enjoys life in space and in Starfleet.
Nadira was born on ??? and raised on Tanzaria with her brother by their
parents. When they were 30 years old and about ready to purse their graduate
schooling, the Eriarti attacked her world, killing two-thirds of the population.
Her parents were among the dead. She and her brother were severely hurt.
The USS Enterprise, captained by Captain James T. Kirk came in answer
to the distress signal and took her and her brother to a space station
where their wounds could heal. Neither Troy or herself had the heart to
return to their homeworld so soon after the destruction, so instead they
went to Earth. They both applied for Starfleet Academy and were accepted.
Troy discovered his talent was in medicine and pursued a medical career
in Starfleet, while "Kat" (as her friends call her) followed
the usual path. She has since been back to Tanzaria, though no one ever
discovered who the raiders were in her reality. Her world has again become
a beautiful world. On a training mission in a shuttle with an Ensign they
were pulled into a subspace temporal rift. They were almost killed. While
the Ensign was in a coma, Kat learned a lot about Temoun, the world that
they were on. She also fell in love with the Prince, Arturus Pentragon.
When the Ensign awoke and recovered Kat learned that this world's sun
was going to go supernova and the people would not evacuate their world.
Kat tried to help find a way to stabilize the star. Shortly after pursuing
a relationship with the prince, she became pregnant. They married and
Arturus made her promise that if nothing could be done she would return
back to her universe. In her eighth month of pregnancy, the sun started
to collapse, and she was forced to leave with the ensign and a servant.
They barely made it to the rift and went through it. Once through, they
were pick up by the USS Sarek and discovered that they have only been
gone four hours in their universe.
The newfound friend and confidante of Commander Kalimar, Nadira accompanied
him to Bajor where Kalimar would undergo a ritual that would allow him
to find the location of an Orb of the Prophets long thought lost. Kalimar
found the Orb of Kalimar just in time and merged with it, turning the
ex-Q into a Bajoran Prophet. With the help of an admiral who had been
previously employed by Section 31, Admiral Charles Doyle, and the USS
Aquitania, they fought Section 31.
The final Orb of the Prophets, the Orb of Creation, was obtained and
utilized byLuther Sloan, the head of Section 31. They three battled and
destroyed Sloan and the Orb, at the cost of the USS Aquitania and its
crew. Admiral Doyle now is believed to command Section 31 in that reality.
The crippled USS Seth and its two occupants, Commander Nadira and Lt.
Commander Kalimar, were picked up by the USS Virgo. After examining their
situation, Captain Maruu granted them their former positions and ranks
on the USS Virgo.
