Command Surok said, "If you truly need some rest, have Dr. Richardson contact me. You may stay in Sickbay for rest until the end of your shift if you need to."

"No! Villy, I don't need to go to Sickbay," Valdago pleaded. Sickbay was worse than the Bridge.

"That is an order, Ensign. We must have our officers at peak condition." He tapped his com badge. "Ensign Lorres, please report to the Bridge. You may leave as soon as Ensign Lorres arrives." He went back to reading his PADD.

Great, now I vill be stuck in Sickbay. Unless I don't stay in Sickbay.

Ensign Valdago entered Sickbay and looked around. It was the first time he had seen the Virgo's Sickbay. It wasn't as big as the medical facilities on a Galaxy Class starship, but the Virgo had a crew of 400. A Galaxy Class starship could house over 1000 men, women, and children, and a few oddities that were neither. In the small office Valdago could see Dr. Thomas Richardson.

"Yes, sir," said Richardson. Valdago wasn't sure, but he guessed that the "Sir" was Commander Surok on the com system. Johnathan quickly looked for the first young medical assistant he could find. He spotted a young Vulcan nearby and walked over to him.

"Excuse me. I vas sent down here by Commander Surok. He vanted me checked on," he said to the young medical officer.

"What exactly did you need to have checked?" asked the Vulcan.

"I vas suffering from fatigue on the Bridge. I'm veeling a little better now. I tink I vas just tired."

"We should check just to be sure. Can I ask your name?"

"You can..." The Vulcan was quiet for a while and then looked quizzically at Valdago. "Dat vas a joke." The medical officer raised an eyebrow. "Never mind. My name is Johnathan Valdago. Vhat's yours?"

"Ensign Serk." He began to run a tricorder scan of Valdago. "You appear to be in perfect health. I do not know what caused your fatigue."

"Probably noting. Vhy don't I stay here and sleep vor a vile. Get some vood. It may help. Vill you tell Dr. Richardson, Commander Surok asked dat he talke to him and say vether I vas staying here or not." He went to the nearest biobed and layed down.

"That will not be a problem." Serk went into Richardson's office and talked to him. Richardson nodded his head and tapped his comm badge. It looked like he was talking to Commander Surok. "He said that you can stay here until you feel better."

"Dank you, Ensign. I appreciate your help. By da vay, how long vill you be here?"

"My shift ends at 1600."

"Ahh, vell I only have a half an hour to get to know you."

For the next thirty minutes Ensign Serk and Valdago talked about everything from family to temporal anomalies. It appeared he was reading the same report Commander Surok was. Then, finally, Serk's replacement arrived and Ensign Serk left. Luckily, his replacement was a Human. A little easier to fool. He sat up.

"Excuse me, vat vas your name?"

"Ensign McKane. Can I help you?"

"I don't tink so. I vas just suppose to rest here until my shift. I am suppose to be in Engineering at 1700. I thought go to my quarters and clean up first. If you don't mind."

"Of course not. Go right ahead."

Valdago walked out of Sickbay, and into freedom. Now, dee only question is, vare do I go?
