Lt. K'Lara burst through the Sickbay doors holding Commander Lataro's weight on her shoulder. She called for the doctor as she hauled Lataro onto a biobed. Dr. Richardson came out of his office with a tricorder in hand.

"What happened here?" he asked as he scanned Lataro.

K'Lara stared at him darkly. "He was attacked on the Klingon warship. It was a Kirusan that attacked him."

The Doctor only nodded as he continued his scan. He then pushed a couple buttons and spoke. "He has a concussion, a broken nose, a couple cracked ribs and a punctured lung. Nothing I can't handle."

"Good." K'Lara answered.

Richardson gave her a look. She stared back, and the Doctor grabbed a hypospray and injected it into Lataro's neck. He picked up another instrument and began to treat Lataro's injuries. He ignored K'Lara as she hovered around the biobed, watching as Richardson worked.

Richardson looked up and saw that the half-Klingon was still in Sickbay. He now noticed that she was injured as well, but the injuries were not as serious as Lataro's. She could wait.

"K'Lara is it?" Richardson asked.

She nodded, and the Doctor continued, "Please sit on the other biobed. I will attend to you as soon as I'm finished with Lt. Lataro here. It shouldn't be too much longer."

K'Lara nodded and went to the other biobed. At that time, Captain Maruu entered Sickbay. Richardson barely noticed him as he walked in.

"Doctor, how is he?" Maruu asked, going to the biobed.

Richardson did not look up as he went to retrieve another instrument. He turned it on and ran it over Lataro's forehead.

"He'll be fine in a couple days. He has a concussion and a punctured lung. I've healed his cracked ribs and I am now working on healing his lung."

"How bad is the concussion?" Maruu asked, worried.

"It's a mild concussion. Most of the blood on his face came from his nose. I've healed that as well."

"K'Lara?"

Richardson looked at her and saw a flash of light appear in her eyes. He suddenly felt a chill run up his spine. He turned back to the Captain. "She'll be fine as well. Lt. Lataro is my main concern right now."

Maruu nodded and went over to K'Lara. He saw that she only had a couple scratches and bruises which wouldn't take very long to heal.

"He'll be fine, K'Lara. Why don't you go and get some rest?"

K'Lara glared at him, the same flash of light sparking in her eyes. "I'm staying here if you don't mind, Captain."

Maruu stared at her. He was not surprised that she would chose to stay with Lataro. He knew he shouldn't argue with her, but she didn't really need to be in Sickbay.

"Don't make me turn it into an order, Lieutenant. Go get some rest."

K'Lara's eyes flashed again, but she nodded and hopped off the biobed. She gave one last look to Lataro before she left the room.
