Location: USS Virgo/Kirus/Kirusan Station

"Captain's Log: Stardate 60208.4. We're approaching Kirus. That damned planet contains so many bad memories for me. Nevertheless, the future of this Quadrant rests in the outcome of this battle today. The future rests on me and Jon. I just hope he made it. If he didn't, we are all dead and this mission was for nothing. What does the plaque say? 'War spares not the brave, but the cowardly.' Hopefully, today war will be in a better mood."

The helm officer taking K'Lara's space was maneuvering the ship delicately. "Captain, we are entering the eighth planet's orbit. They cannot detect us due to the gases emanating from the planet."

Maruu sat next to Jorail. "Good. Charge all weapons. We go in firing."

Jorail accessed the con panel next to him. "Dominion fleet, engage the Kirusans on my mark."

"Helm take us in. Fire!"

"Mark. Attack!"

The 100 Dominion ships began to do flybys of the orbital station. They were not ready for this attack. The Virgo fired a full array of photon torpedoes at the station. Its hull began to buckle. Maruu tapped a few buttons on his con panel. I hope they get my message.

On Kirus, the Kirusans didn't expect the attack. People quickly ran for cover. Kelidat Potenin Feltok, leader of the Kirusan army, ordered an immediate deployment of all vessels available. Unfortunately, most of them were patrolling around the Taboo Sector and could not get to Kirus on time.

Second Kelidat Joerak Leinor approached his commanding officer. "We should surrender."

Feltok growled, "To the Jenkhapmahtar and the Vokohrta?! Never!"

"Yes, Sir." Leinor walked into his office. He hated Feltok and couldn't wait to...

<Message received,> announced the computer.

"Display message." Leinor read the message patiently. Then, he smiled. "Yes!" He accessed a com system nearby. "Ourha, the captain has returned and is attacking the station. Come down as soon as you can and mobilize our ground troops."

Ourha was overjoyed by the message. [Thank you, Joerak. I will join you in a while.]

Leinor, overjoyed, grabbed a knife. He walked out of his office and towards Feltok. "Hey, Feltok, great news!" He plunged the knife into Feltok's belly. "The Resistance is victorious."

Feltok fell to the ground, dead.

"And now to make sure you never come back." Leinor plunged the knife into Feltok's cervical spinal area. The energy that holds a Kirusan's conscience to its body disintegrated. "Oh yeah. I love this job." The self-promoted Kelidat Joerak Leinor grabbed Feltok's communicator. "Resistance officers. The time has come to take Kirus and end the killings. The insurrection has begun!" Leinor took Feltok's weapon and aimed it at an approaching guard. He fired, blowing the Kirusan's head open. Then, he passed the weapon to another guard. "Let the battle begin."

The guard, a Resistance member, nodded and smiled. "The light will triumph today."

On the station, the Shahtar watched impatiently as the Dominion forces fired at the station. Suddenly, Kirusan warships and battle cruisers began to attack the fleet. Ourha addressed the other Shahtar. "I must head down to the surface. The people need me." He transported himself out using his wrist transporter.

One Dominion ship was damaged badly by a highly radioactive chronoton missile fired from a warship. The out-of-control Dominion vessel floated in space, rapidly heading in the direction of the Shahtar's observation deck. They tried a transport, but nothing worked. Loret accessed a com system. "Ourha! We cannot transport! What is happening?!"

Ourha only smiled. "I am sorry. Your evils have come to an end. Goodbye, my brothers."

The com channel was cut off just as the Dominion ship burst into the observation deck and exploded.

The entire station suddenly became a defense blockade. The amount of weaponry the station had within its hull was unexpected. In only fifteen minutes, the Dominion forces were down to 59 ships.

Jorail looked at Maruu. "This war is not going well. We must disable the station."

Maruu took control of tactical. "There seems to be an extremely large amount of radiation coming from the section on the other side of the sun. It must be a reactor. If we destroy it..."

"...the station goes." Jorail was pleased. "Dominion forces, focus all power on the following coordinates." He tapped a few buttons on his console. "They're on the other side of the sun. Let's get there now."

The Virgo and the 57 remaining ships took their battle to the other side of the sun, where they could distinctly see a green glow coming from a section of the station.

Maruu pointed at the green glow. "There. Fire!"

All the ships began a simultaneous and continuous attack of the reactor. Within a minute, the shields had fallen and the reactor blew. Section by section the reactor took the entire station with it. The shrieks of the hundreds of Kirusans on the station could be heard as the station blew to pieces.

Immediately, the remaining four warships and 21 battle cruisers powered down and metaphorically waved a white flag. The Kirusan Breadth, after their main defense force had been eradicated, surrendered to the Dominion and the Federation. The war had ended with many casualties.

Maruu and the rest of the bridge crew jumped for joy. Then, the Jem'Hadar pointed weapons at all the Starfleet officers.

Jorail clapped. "Very good, Captain. You've succeeded in doing what we have been trying to do for a great many years. I'm afraid this alliance no longer serves our purpose. You see, the Dominion leaders have decided that this vessel would serve us greatly if we ever have another war with the Federation. Now that we have the Breadth, the only other obstacle is the Federation. The Virgo will aid us to that purpose."

Maruu looked at Jorail with disgust. "You traitor."

"Ha!" Jorail mocked. "You really are naive, Captain. Now, goodbye."

The Jem'Hadar charged their weapons and prepared to annihilate the crew of the Virgo.
