It was still early in the morning as Jenara stood beside Adrianna's crib, watching her daughter sleep soundly. It had been a couple of days since the dinner party where her and Commander Nadira had become fast friends. They had a lot in common besides being survivors of the attack on Tanzaria. It did sadden her to find out that the horror had also happened in another reality. But the real bond they shared was their motherhood. Jenara felt a deep sadness for Katianna, knowing how much she missed her own daughter, Laurissa. Though Adrianna was only weeks old, Jenara couldn't imagine being separated from her. She would simply die inside.

And even now, as she gazed at the sweet, peacefully sleeping angel before her, she was awed. This life was placed in her hands. She couldn't even imagine her life without this little gift from heaven. Adrianna had made such an impact on her life, changing the way she looked at things, what she wanted from life and where her dreams now took her. For the first time ever, Jenara felt complete. That her life was perfect, and she couldn't imagine it without her daughter.

Suddenly, she felt another presence. Johnny walked into the nursery and up behind her, gently letting his hands glide around her waist. She felt his hard body against her back and melted into him with a smile, and sighed with the contentment she felt.

"Still can't believe she's here?" he asked, love in his voice.

"Something like that," she smiled brighter. "I can't imagine my life without her now. These few weeks have been enough to make her a part of my heart forever. To see her, touch her . . . hold her in my arms . . . I can't even be that angry with what the Eriarti did to me during that Away Mission now. After all, if it had never happened, I . . . WE wouldn't have Adrianna."

He smiled and held her closer, kissing her cheek. "You're right."

"And she was worth everything I went through . . .Everything." she continued.

Jenara turned to face Johnny, her green eyes bright with love. She caressed his face and tenderly kissed him. "I love you," she whispered, allowing her own emotions to travel to Johnny though their touch.

He returned her kiss gently, but with passion. Since the birth, they not

been with one another intimately. Doctor's orders. But they both wanted each other.

"Are you sure you're ready?" He asked. "I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't," she replied, playfully nipping his lips.

Their passion continued to climb.

"Do we have time?" he asked hoarsely.

"If Adrianna keeps to the schedule she's had for the last week, she shouldn't wake up for at least another hour . . . " Jenara panted. "We have time, I think."

"That would be nice," he smiled. "Time for us."

Intertwined in each others arms and still kissing passionately, they made their way to their room and fell onto the bed together. Hands exploring, questing . . . Desire filling the air with its electricity. Just as Johnny began to pull Jenara's nightgown off, time froze . . . An infant's cry echoed through their quarters.

They looked at each other, frozen in mid-action. Wanting each other so badly and yet, knowing that someone else needed them too. Not knowing whether to laugh, moan in frustration, or cry, they sat up.

Jenara sighed and caressed Johnny's cheek. "I guess we'll just have to wait for another time."

He nodded in understanding and took her in his arms to kiss her one last time. "We'll make time," he replied, "Now lets go tend to our daughter."
