It was the day after the two officers had landed on Mirisam V. They had both been given proper medical attention and were fed. Now that they had a working Federation shuttle, M'eko could use some of its equipment to try and get the Jem'Hadar shuttle flying. Using the Federation shuttle was out of the question since it could not even hold half of the people on the colony, let alone the Jem'Hadar. She was trying to get the computer systems online and was actually having some good luck. All the controls were doing fine and the navigation system just needed a new power relay that the Federation shuttle could provide. The Jem'Hadar and Starfleet systems were surprisingly compatible. More so than anyone had though. Lieutenant McQueen came over and offered any help he could give. "M'eko, you need some help ?" He asked as he watched her install the power relay. "Try and turn navigation on. It's the second panel from the left, the large blue button" Her muffled voice replied. Logan looked for a moment and found the right switch. He tapped it, the lights dimmed briefly, but navigation came online. "All right !" M'eko exclaimed. "Now we're in business." "What's the status on the ship ?" Logan inquired. "Well, the engines are in pretty good shape. The thrusters are only at half, but they can get us up enough to engage impulse. The impulse drive is almost completely intact. We could easily get going at full once we exited the atmosphere. The only actual problem with this ship is its airlock. The door won't close all the way, probably damaged during the crash, so there is little point. I need a few people to help me out, but I believe I can use the spare door seals from the Federation shuttle to fix this one. This Jem'Hadar technology is incredibly durable. I didn't hold out much hope because a landing like the one this ship had would have obliterated every system on a Federation shuttle." |
