The Trill woman was just exiting holodeck two, having completed transferring her research programmes into the Leviathan's holodeck library. She turned right out of the room and headed toward the nearest turbolift. Her steps slowed when she saw the lone brown haired man approaching her, dresses in civilian clothes. His appearance was striking, his jaw set softly, his verdant eyes focused straight ahead. She saw the fierce, strong look in his eyes and could not help but let her interest pique. Subconsciously, her steps ambled toward him in the passageway, and she caught his eye. The casually dressed crewman turned toward her and nodded. "Hey " She trailed softly, her eyes meeting his innocently. Garet had just finished with a meeting with Major Phanan, his new commanding officer. The Major had been good to the Marines and allowed them to not wear their uniform until the Leviathan was due to depart. Garet had his mind set on the mission ahead and was paying little attention to the people walking past. He turned left down the hall and started head-first towards the hall, his mind set on other matters. The voice ahead of him brought his concentration back to the corridor and Lieutenant Rhee. He would have walked right past her had she not said anything. Upon hearing the Chief Science Officer, he looked toward her. He had seen her before but only once and very briefly, the Marines and the Starfleet officers rarely mixed. Seeing her now up close though, something about her stood out. She was a strikingly beautiful girl, it amazed him that someone like that could have been on the same ship as him for almost a month and he barely knew her. "Morning." He finally choked out. Shyly, Doctor Rhee asked, "Where are you off to in such a hurry ?" "Uhhh, the mess hall. Would you like to join me for breakfast ?" Garet asked, hoping for a chance at more time to speak to her. "I'd be delighted. I haven't had time to eat anything just yet," Damson said as they walked side by side to breakfast. "I'm Doctor Rhee by the way." She said as they walked. "Garet Jax." The Marine told her. "I've never seen you aboard, Mister Jax." She said jauntily, putting forth her cutest countenance. "Where do you work and what do you do, how long have you been here," She rushed smilingly. The two stopped before the door of a turbolift, and she turned toward him. "I want to know it all." She told him before winking amicably at the solid, attractive crewman. |
