Shocked

*USS Appalachia* - State Room

Ensign Chu awoke suddenly something was wrong, he knew it. There was a pounding in his head, one that would not go away. He knew what had happened, but not why. The neural pacifier in his head had received a massive telepathic 'shock' and overloaded. It was like hearing several 'voices' screaming out very loud and then suddenly being 'cut off' and silent.

Arising from his bed in the stateroom, he quickly wandered into the bathroom and took a shower. *A real shower, with warm water, I must remember to thank the Captain before I leave*

Whatever had overridden the neural pacifier had been something strong, something telepathic and something bad.

*I must get the pacifier checked-out once I'm onboard the Leviathan

Chu put one of his two uniforms and sat at the computer console. He started to read from his novel, he knew that it would take a couple of hours for the feelings to go away, so he might as well catch up with his reading.
